REs are still good lategame. Just give them zooks or LMGs and always have them building tank traps.
Axis LMGs laser down individual models, meaning a Riflemen or a RE will die to a burst regardless. This makes LMG REs really good at grinding down the enemy MP if they go LMG Grens/Obers.

Well you know which other faction gets oodles of extra mp? USF. Its not like OKW is the only one to get oodles of free mp from their incorrect teching costs.
Lets alo price nerf rifles to 350 mp. kappa
LOL |
Vs Obers, LMG equipped REs do the job, without using commander specific goodies. Pack Howie may also be a nice choice depending on scenario.
You also have the Sherman and HMC.
The only OKW things I always struggle with are Fusilier spam, JLI spam, and fast P4. |
SU-76M is fine. Just nerf Quad and maybe buff Ostheer countering ability slightly and it's fine.
|
Im in favor of picking 2 builings before you allowed to build T4.
I think that would actually be perfect. |
PTRS works on six man squads too because the AT rifles don't significantly drop anti infantry potential, while allowing them to scare away light vehicles. Unless you disable it or ambush it Guards can't really solo light vehicles. Light AT track would be a badass little unit nondoc for Ostheer.
Alex if you really really want enhanced Ostheer infantry anti-tank, just hope for doctrines. I can imagine a Panzerjager package or call-in.
Also have you tried Sprint/Tactical Movement? If you go a muni heavy strategy you can catch up to vehicles with multiple Grens and Faust them, boom Paks kill. Ambush Camo can also be used to ambush vehicles. Just offering suggestions. |
Map design too. |
Vs M3 and M20 222 does its job. Vs heavier vehicles it is pushing it, but 222 does have nice timing and scouting.
Yeah AT halftrack upgrade is IMO what Relic should do; essentially a poor mans puma with less oppurtnuity cost. Vs say the Quadtrack an AT halftrack could easily kite, and spammed could be a pretty neat SU-76 analogue. (I know that's meant to be the Stug, but timing says otherwise. Stug is underpriced anyway.)
A hypothetical AT track would have a 45mm gun, so slightly better than what the Stuart has but with no AI ability and little traverse. It would be a cool unit. |
The 222 is a deterrent, same as at guns: area denial to light vehicles. Mines are mines.
also purchasing an upgrade to aid only in the early game is ridiculous; the entire purpose of upgrades is that they help a unit scale.
If Ostheer really needs help vs light vehicles-which against Soviets you could argue they do- the best solution would be to give the halftrack an AT gun upgrade for like 60 muni that turns it in to the Panzer Elite AT halftrack. Boom, options. |
it's OKW, you need more "beef" vs them.
Can confirm. |
