I look at it this way. Cons were the worst troops pre WFA, so they got a fast MG that suppressed individual targets, allowing the Cons to overwhelm.
Now, Volks are the worst AI base infantry, in a faction that's designed to have the strongest and best early game. A bipod MG34 available at 0 CP could fill the role of the Maxim, only more support oriented. Very very narrow arc with a very very fast set up time, with extreme suppression and little damage.
This would fit the OKW theme (compare the Raktenwerfer to other AT guns) and also make them weaker at static defense. |

I think Beef was trying to focus on the specialized part, with "hard hitting" being a bit of a poor choice of words to his true point.
I meant hard hitting infantry squads, not support weapons.

I just don't see why it should do damage. OKW is meant to be a hard hitting specialized infantry army backed by specialist supervehicles.

Maybe Relic are going to implement the increase manpower cost per veterancy OKW was originally going to have? Believe it was a talked about during a stream but OKW would get five levels of veternancy however as they rank up they get a small increase of reinforcement. I.e. Volksgrenadiers were going to be 28 by Vet 5. I quite liked it as it meant you had to be careful during late game or bleed crazily. Obers and Sturmpios (when they were 42) were less affected by it considering their high reinforcement already.
This could work if OKW early game got buffed. What are the NDA Kubel changes? |

Well, the Ost sniper has to contend with earlier light vehicles and requires a med bunker to heal. If you manage a nice early game flank, you'll essentially push him (the sniper) off the map.
I've been on the receiving end of SPrice sniper openings where he got 30 kills in 5 minutes and wiped a full health Rifle squad with one explosive shot. But I've also recognized sniper openings and flanked him, killing him in the first 5 minutes.
IMO it's a really skill based unit, but his lethality and HP should be toned back slightly. |
USF teching needs to be Barracks, WSC, Motor Pool, armor tier. Make WSC come early, make .50 cal cheaper, give light mortar. Buff the M15, price buff M20, put them in with the Stuart.
Make Rifles scale very well at vet 3, make zooks do 100 damage and slightly buff accuracy. Make the ambulance move faster, and allow abilities to be used inside fighting positions. (Including medics.)

usf is strong with combined arms tactics, but no one actually uses combined arms cause players usually only tech 2 officers instead of 3.
