Relic its time you step in and say enough is enough. "Do you play WBP with t1 + t2 into t-70 ?" See this is the kind of shit that makes me vomit, you don't go T1 for early game pressure into T3 for mid game pressure unless that T1 investment really paid off... thats whats called bad design when every game and tech choice boils down to applying more pressure. In coh1 the M8 was a risky early pressure investment that needed to give you more territory or else you were actually behind because your opponent has his first tank that much quicker because he didnt invest his fuel in light vehicles. Thats risk vs reward. wanna give PRTS to penals? Fine but then they shouldnt be any more combat effective than conscripts either. And remove that flamer ASAP In: COH2 Gameplay

LMG Grens wins at long range with Penals and it's getting in Penals' favour when the distance is getting smaller and smaller. I don't expect LMG Grens to win vs Penals at close/mid range - do you? And my main question still stands. It's 1.4 and I wonder how many other light AT options were tried in WBP. upgradable anti tank rifles? AT satchel, molotov, satchel charge, flame thrower. I think minelaying ability is the only tool thats missing for a true ubermensch squad. Also grenadiers barely wins at long range, it could go either way.. they get totally wrecked at medium and close range also flamethrower makes sure they can never use garrisons or heavy cover. Also penals have good moving accuracy so they are good assault troops, grenadiers lose ALL their dps if they so much as move an inch. In: COH2 Gameplay

The 300MP argument doesn't say much since grenadier also have a 60 muni weapon upgrade which evens it out... NOT only that but penals have insanely more utility than grenadiers, penals are like from a 80's action movie. finally grenadiers are 4 man meaning lategame you will lose the vet3 squad to a mortar hit + quick tank followup shot. Frustrating stuff a 6 man squad don't have to deal with. In: COH2 Gameplay

Assault Grens don't work, and now the StuG E doesn't work either (although I am quite happy about the latter), which essentially means that you ruined a previously working doctrine. That would even be fine by me, because the doctrine was boring to begin with, but it stinks to high heaven if you call that a rework. It forces you not to use garrisons or cover so.. yeah thats "fun"? Maybe for the guy who has 5 flamer squads its fun but not for the axis player. Not only flamer but you add pphs to the squad also making it close range terminator sqads. If you ever get caught with an mg in a house it will get wiped due to the pphs when it exits the house. Mass flamer on mainline infantry has already been tried and removed on other factions... we all know the results and it doesnt work. How about working on units that actually sucks instead of wasting 4 months on buffing the already OP unit? In: COH2 Gameplay

It's also the fact that they rush out at 0cp. Regardless, judgong from your comment I fail to see how the changes don't improve assgrens scaling. Lower mp cost and sprint allow you to close in ehile bleeding less. Thr goal of assgrens is not to take lategame closerange allied infantry head on. It is to flank tean weapons and dispose of them. Finally assgrens already cost only 5 popcap, which is the lowwst in the game for any infantry squad. if the doctrine is the problem then put assgrens in T4 so we can finally tech towards other things than just tanks or more powerful tanks. That would be an elegant solution to leviate a long standing problem, how late game is just about who has more tanks. In: COH2 Gameplay
