The problem is mostly on teamgame and don't believe it doesn't affect 2vs2, there are too many shitty map on 2vs2 at the moment.
Anyway I'm not saying this build shouldn't exist but in term of balance the actual situation is problematic.
My principal concern is the lack of side investment in fuel or munition to make the build effective vs what it cost to the opponent to counter it. No need to pay extra munition for the extra vision, no munition or fuel to be able to lock down half of the map with 2 hmg and no extra munition cost to access pzgren fully operational from start.
The opponent either way have to build a mortar or side tech meaning he's already investing more resources into countering the hmg and then above that he's facing superior infantry really fast to which again he must respond by using more fuel and munition to stay on the field.
In opposition the Ostheer player didn't had to use more munition or fuel other than to tech his BP1, build his medic bunker and then his T2 and get 2 or 3 222 and try to run over you.
The possibility of snowballing his huge and come with only one unique downside, not having snare.
But that's so trivial because if it works Ostheer is already controlling 2/3 of the map including both fuel and his opponent shouldn't be able to get a vehicle before you have your first 222 roaming the field.

You have Pioneer with superior vision, best hmg and then pzgren uncontestable by any mainline infantry before long. Many maps are so lanely that two hmg is more than enough to temporize those 3 minutes and half but I have seen 3 hmg start with a bit more delay on the pzgren. Bo is x2 hmg, x1 pioneer, BP1, Pzgren before 3:30 Imo, those should lose 2 stg and have them upgraded for free once T2 is built. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Didn't know TDs were following light vehicle logic. Anyway you probably forget the initial statement which was making the M10 a mini Jackson and Jackson dedicated heavy tank destroyer, so yes in that case you'll be ending needing more than 1 m10 if your opponent is getting various Pz4s and since both axis factions can also complement them with a panther or a tiger/kingtiger you're ending fighting 3 tanks that can definitively fight off your own M10s but also infantry and the later being vastly superior to your m10. UKF not using their own version while already be in this configuration with the Firefly should ring a bell. In: COH2 Balance |

How do you get an M36 if you're already popcap full with 2 M10? Where do you get the manpower or fuel from? Also the most important question, while your opponent is getting units that can both damage your infantry and tanks alike, you're investing a lot of manpower and fuel into units that can only damage pz4 tanks and need to be replaced once a tiger/panther hit the field. I'm not saying M10 wouldn't be decent vs Pz4, I'm saying that your 2 M10 suddenly become a burden once a tiger/panther hits the field and you crying with your investment and pop cap that can't do shit vs it unless your opponent gave you the adecquat veterancy boost for it. In: COH2 Balance |

Practically it would be a failure. At the moment you need 2 dedicated tank destroyer in a normal roster. How do you get your 2 jacksons to counter panthers/tiger if you already have 2 M10 to counter the pz4? --- M10 in its current state should be immune to snare or having the threesold for snare lowered to 20/40% at least when activating the speed. That's the only way to make a flanker working. Making the M10 a mini Jacksons is just leading to failure, you're not building a tank destroyer only to counter Pz4 as USF, you can't that's a non sense. Not vs 2 factions that can easily build each 2 Pz4 into Tiger/KT/panther. In: COH2 Balance |

M10, I can agree with the reload veterancy being odd, but I will disagree with most factors on the unit. Yes, in team games and lane maps it'll always have issues, but I believe the unit is good enough for its cost. The unit may be good for it cost but if it doesn't fulfill any intersting hole, that remain a useless unit. At the moment the hole the M10 is fulfilling is more or less the same as the Ez8, for a cheaper price and lower effect but that desn't make it more relevant than the Ez8. - It as trouble dealing with Ostheer Pz4 Vet2 - It as trouble dealing with OKW Pz4 meaning it pretty useless vs OKW unless Light tank spam strat. - It requires to dive and flank to be effective and this alone is broken since it still a 640 health tank that get snared after 1 shot, and it doesn't have smoke to cover its retreat and it has a big size so even with speed it is still a big target to anything firing at it. Outside of 1vs1, there are little usage for this unit. Sometime I use it but honeslty I use it just for the sake of using it. Knowing you need to build 2 or 3 of them to make them effective is clearly a marker of being useless otherwise. And if it is fine for you, I severly doubt there are any logic behind the balance team decision, you nerfed the pakhowi and Scott into irrelevance if spamed to praise it for this unit. Recon = dual HMG with PFs, you have the vision superiority. Heavy Cav, pershing with good infantry support Point is if he blobb you have to concentrate harder to counter him and not believe one single unit will do the job. |
