Thread: State of 2v2 balance?27 Jul 2014, 17:43 PM Jump back to quoted post27 Jul 2014, 14:51 PMCieZ Imo it's something along the lines of: Sov/sov > sov/usf > ost/okw > usf/usf > okw/okw > ost/ost I have started playing 2v2 (3v3 was fun but either too easy or too hard and depended too much on teammate's skill level) as the OKW and this is pretty much what I have run into. Although the hardest I think is Sov/USF, only if the USF player has the rifle company doctrine (which is free right now ). It is especially difficult if the Soviet player has either a doctrine that can call in shocks or guard rifle and is-2 or t34/85s. Really hard for double okw to beat. Massed, spamed, doctrine medium tanks from the allies I think is the best strategy in the meta right now. Two E8s and two T34/85s can come out before the OKW players have even one panther. Thread: Allied Medium Tanks Overperforming/too spammable?27 Jul 2014, 17:30 PM Range in the meta right now is very wonky, blobbing with medium to close range weapons is so good that range is underwhelming and not attractive. The only range that matters right now is the Katyusha and Stuka for anti-blobbing and both have separate arguments attached to them. For tanks however the generally faster allied tanks make the "range" of German tanks worthless. In: COH2 Balance

I think the map is more likely to sway the outcome than the matchup. I agree on open maps the allies can really destroy the OKW, on closed maps the OKW can crush allied armor. It really comes down to how much room the allied fast tanks have to maneuver. I really don't like where OKW heavy armor is at, against not very good panicky players it is good. But against experienced calm players it stinks. The King Tiger, Jagdpanzer, and Jagdtiger all move too slowly to effectively micro. The range and turret rotation on the King Tiger is really bad. Luchs are very effective at killing them. The Luchs is still an over-costed POS and should never be built. The problem as the OKW is because your fuel is so limited you have to make the perfect vehicle and armor selection each and every game or you just lose. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: KT pinned by 6 enemy tanks 25 Jul 2014, 13:09 PM This game my ally was utterly useless. He never had more than 3 infantry on the field at a time and never retreated anything, just let everything get killed. So I managed to get a KT and it got pinned and beat by 3 E8s. So I built another KT and it got pinned in by another 3 E8 and 3 T34/76s (at about 30:00 min mark). The KT has a lot of health, but that is it, the thing needs a little more turret rotation speed or more range because every tank in the game can out run its turret rotation and movement speed and it doesn't have enough range to snipe from afar. T1/2 OKW trucks cost 40 fuel, plus the faction has -33% fuel and they can't build a replacement whenever they have the resources available they have to wait 180 secs for another truck then drive a fairly fragile truck to the building site and then wait for it to build. Also while building it still has shitty truck defense so even infantry grenades can gimp it. In: COH2 Gameplay

Americans sure as hell can't do much about it. Then what is the point of the faction at all? What makes it unique compared to regular Ostheer? OKW is really a weird faction in that SO many people expect different things out of it and want changes made to it. Some people bitch about 5 lvls of Veteran, some people bitch about the negative 33% fuel, some bitch about their lack of non-doctrine HMG, and some bitch about their Heavy tanks blowing up their medium tanks. I have played this faction the most since it came out and I am still learning how to play it. I do bitch about Maxims in the early game and AA-HT in the mid-game, but I will also admit that I still have some L2P issues. I just think that is people holw enough and Relic changes enough things the OKW will just end up being a Rip-off of the Ostheer. In: COH2 Gameplay
