If it makes you feel better they will probably release a ranger commander sometime soon. we are due a big new content patch for a while and relic hasn't been one to waste content. Yep, the DLC of the month should come out soon. Because cash-tag Relic: $Relic. In: Lobby |
Thread: soviet t3 and t4 cost issues....8 Jan 2015, 20:00 PM
you can try the T-34/85 with 120mm/Mark target one, well, the T-34/85 kinda suck but you don't need to spend money in Tier structures. Again, it's a call-in issue which exists for a long time and not sure they are going to fix it. Blasphemy! T34/85 is sick and twisted, tank has slightly less AT power and armor than a panther for loads more AI power. Two of them can take on most Axis Tanks even without Mark Target. You also get them in pairs(except for that one limited time doc)for a price that, while expensive as a whole, makes each tank cost a little more than a P4 for being comparable to a Panther. Thread: Some help with Wehr in 1v18 Jan 2015, 17:10 PM
If you looking for alternative tactics to fight the US try the Mechanised Assault Doctrine. Assault grenadiers let you counter riflemen earlier on, letting you focus on map control. Assuming that you have the doctrine. Huh, might as well call it Ostheer, since I know how to spell that. My problem with Assault grens is that they don't scale well and smart USF players will back away from advancing Assault Grens. Plus at 280MP and 28 to reinforce they are a big manpower drain on already a very MP draining match. I find that Ostheer just can't lose much, compared to any other faction. I mean OKW can build and lose the Kubel Wagon in the first 5 minutes and be fine, same with Cons or a M3 for Soviets and a Riflemen for USF. I just feel the effects of losing even one unit early with Ostheer so much more than with any other faction. From my experience of testing Assault Grens, they are a throw away unit once the first Bars come out, since they can't compete (They need a Stg44 upgrade or a Armor buff at Vet 2). Here is a replay of a victory over Soviets with Mech Assault: |
Thread: Some help with Wehr in 1v18 Jan 2015, 13:44 PM
Thanks for the advice, I will need to try it out against my next USF opponent(although with those stupid super-soldier exploits revealed I might have to take a forced break from the game). I also got some advice from another member of the forum on the replay thread, that I needed to push more for one point rather than spreading out. My micro is decent, but my map control I believe is where I am lacking. As Wher I am realizing that I need to group my stuff more and push with more of my army on one point, due to not having the large number of infantry that the Allies can afford early. I am used to playing OKW or Soviets where I can recruit lots of cheap early troops and spread out forcing the opponent to react widely. Gren squads just can't do that and need to be (I hate to use this term) blobbed towards a side of the map. |
Thread: 1v1 Soviet Weapon Teams and ISU V Mech Assault8 Jan 2015, 13:38 PM
A fight from behind for victory. Soviet weapon teams, plus flame engies, plus Shocks into ISU-152 = annoying as hell to face. Especially on a narrow map like Minsk Pocket(I hate this map). Mechanized assault however gave me a chance to strike back hard and 2 Tigers sealed the deal against a 2nd ISU. Highlights: So many Shocktroops, at least 3 or 4 squads throughout the game(I think I saw one Conscript squad the whole match). Katyusha wiping four model Gren squad and my Vet 2 or 3 Mortar Mad dash by Panzergrenadiers to grab a de-crewed Zis and turn it against a retreating ISU (Lost the squad, but worth it ) 2 Stug Es meeting both ISUs(the encounters did not go in the Stugs' favor) In: Replays |
Thread: Map Hac- Er, I mean, Searchlight8 Jan 2015, 02:54 AM
What if they gave this unit the ability to reinforce nearby infantry? Like a normal half-track, given that it costs a fair amount of fuel and has close to zero combat power. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: USF v Wher so much BS7 Jan 2015, 16:11 PM
Hey broodwarjc. First off, let me say no-one's pretending Wher vs USF is an easy matchup and in general USF are probably favoured, especially on a close-quarters map like Kholodny Ferma. However, please allow me to make a few points on your game in particular and why I think it went so badly for you, particularly in the early game. Yes thank you. I do need better map control, I believe my micro is pretty good, but I need better point control. I play a lot more OKW (but Volk blobs get boring) and Wher with earlier vehicles seems more fun. I guess I just need to choose a side and ignore the other side until I have enough armor to push. :/ I am just used to harassing back and forth with Volks or Cons due to them not being very good in blob fights(Volks only good with Ober back-up). With Wher I guess I just need to constantly hit one side and if I get pushed back then move ot the other side, but with most of my units rather than making attack squads of 2 or 3 units which I am used too. Thread: So when storm troopers getting a buff?7 Jan 2015, 13:52 PM
All Wher infantry(except PGrens) need Muni upgrade to get better DPS. Alos Stormtroopers are not meant to stand in the open trading shots at range with riflemen, they are very good at flanking and getting close. Tactical advance with STG44s(while muni expensive)is one of the best DPS abilities in the game and wipes even Shocktroops at close range in seconds. In: COH2 Balance |
