Wow, wow, wow. When I talking about "how shitty USSR is" everyone answers: "Go look video of TOP players on competitive games". Isn't that same "someone watched youtube video and decided something...".
If video/replay supports axis - it can be used as argument.
If video/repaly supports alleies - "someone watched some YouTube videos, bla-bla-bla...".
Veeeeery fair, my dear axis supporters, veeeery fair.
haha look at the date and take of your biased glasses lul |
Lol, just lol.
Maxim spam is OP, but MG-42 spam is ok.
Good news for you, OP - MG-42 spam is real today too, a lot of Ost players calling 2-3 MG-42s and nobody cares. And it is even more OP, than Maxim spam.
2-3 maxims cover same area as 1 MG-42. So, 3 MG-42 covers same area as 9 (!) maxims.
See reason, why we spam maxims? They can do their MG-job good only in massive numbers, while MG-42 doing same job nice alone. And again - idea of offensive MGs is stupidity, make doctrinal offesives ok, no problems, but in stock I need normal MG.
i summon donniechan |
While your maxims are all at one place, suppressing a part of my army, the rest of my troops will simply cap the map.
So you are attacking with all squads spread out and capping the map? For every squad you have i have a maxim, and yes while true kekitrof but im sure it Overlaps so there are Windows were you are at a 1 squad disadvantage but these windows are very tight. And dont forget if you kill 1 model of a gren it's 30mp advantage for you, which Sums up pretty fast while you dont bleed because 1) 15mp reinforce lulz 2) you barely lose models due the Nature of mgs anf how suppression works. |
The suppression is heavy if your units are inside its ark and close to the weapon, that's true. You will get instapinned in the first burst, yes. But the maxim's ark is its biggest weakness. Don't let your troops go hand in hand if you notice that the enemy follows a maxim-heavy play. While one squad is pinned, the other one can simply attack the Maxim from the side or behind. A pinned squad will receive less damage a short amount of time after it got pinned, so don't worry about that squad.
Against maxims in buildings, use mortars (mortars are very effective against the whole strategy in commono). A mortar HT is the maxim's biggest nightmare. Mortars are the maxim's hard counters you cannot deny that.
Also a maxim spam lacks capping power.
Biggest flaw: for every squad you have, I will have an maxim. Spread your squads, I got enough maxims to suppress them all.
Even if its a 2v2 Situation, more often than not you can suppress one squad and turn on the other to Stall till reinforcements arrive, it's even more hilarious if you got vet1 with sprint, just suppress pack up Sprint like a maniac and set up again anf write "lol dem skillZ" in chat |
I always write "ez outplayed" after game ends when I spammed maxims, just to rub salt into their wounds |
People posting they lost so much elo because of sim commander, keep in mind you had a very ( and i mean very easy ) time due aec totally overperforming, so your elo was likely inflated (is that the right Word? ) anyway. |
I would introduce mirror matchup for couple of Weeks so all these fanbois will encounter their own annoying cheese :^) |
It doesn't matter if you get hit or not; they will still force you out of a building/cover, which is a BIG deal. For 15 muni.......
If they had the 10 second molotov throw animation, then I would maybe understand.
thats why i wrote they are waaaaaaaaaaaaay to cheap, but beside that they are perfectly fine. and you basically said the same just with the difference you disagreed with me (?????) |
When you take the impact of such emplacements (on some maps) in account, it's fairly cheap.
Locks down sectors and is strong. Kinda a no brainer on some maps and does all the work for you - no skill involved.
and not to forget its 2 mortars, statswise closer to 1.5 mortars to be fair but with 115 range and brace. i wouldnt call it expensive too |
Implying axis forces have no buildings that require zero user input and yet still gets the job done.
Oh wait, they totally do.
Ostheer can lockdown parts of the map really earlygame by placing bunkers and upgrading a machine gun on it, which is counterable, but requires a big investment AND time to do so, making you vulnerable to the inevitable counterattack that's coming your way the second ostheer player spots you moving in for the bunker.
OKW has a flak-emplacement which also locksdown a huge chunk of the map, for 200MP and 120 Fuel. Unlike the bofors, it also works as a tech-up for the OKW, who can then employ Obersoldaten or tanks to the fight. Countering this building also proves hard, unless you have high CP and a lot of ammo to spend.
2 molotovs and bye bye bunker, 5 mortar shells bye bye bunker, 3 pak shots bye bye bunker
and flak emplacements needs a sideupgrade for its flak, but it is expensive (120fuel+15 for the SwS) and he loses a tier building when you destroy it, fair deal.
you cant be serious to compare ostheer bunker to ukf emplacements |
