Bring back Rostov, that was super fun even though Allies got punished with the shit side when sides were locked. I still enjoyed the map.
Can we have Ettlebruck back on 4v4 too? The sheer nonstop action that 4v4 Ettlebruck gave was pretty unique. Constant non stop mayhem. It was great. Add in some more vetoes and bring back some maps. I'm so sick of Lienne, Steppes and City17. Vielsalm is awful too. |
Something needs to change with the ISU. It got nerfed into the ground.
You still see Jagdtigers because of their huge Alpha. They ruin EVERY allied tank.
ISU bounces off loads of Axis tanks. How many ISU's have you seen in 3v3, 4v4 since the nerf? I haven't seen one in 100+ games. |
OKW in 3v3 and 4v4 is an absolute joke. The shrek blobs are real. Add in some olbers and what do you do?
Would separate balance for 1v1 and 4v4 be so hard? Other games can do it.
What works in 1v1 often does not work in 4v4.
Shreks in general need a nerf, if I get a shrek with Scripts or Shocks it's like I've hit the jackpot. One shrek in an hour long game can get me 5k Vehicle damage easy, last time I got one I did 8k damage. One shrek. Soviet 'elite anti tank infantry' get a PTRS which is an absolute joke of a weapon.

IMO whether from gameplay or historical viewpoints, swapping the T-34/76 for T-34/85 is not necessary. Here is why:
First, historically, from 1941-1945 there're around 34000 T-34/76s produced, while only 22000 T-34/85s produced (Walter S. Dunn, Jr (2007). Stalin's keys to victory : the rebirth of the Red Army). So T-34/76 was actually the most numerous Soviet tanks produced in WW2, and the bulk of Soviet tank forces in the three most important battles of the war: Battle of Moscow, Stalingrad and Kursk . It can be said that the 76 was the tank that won the war, not the 85.
Second, about gameplay just a little more anti-infantry power for the T-34/76 should do it. This is very easy to do and required the least effort. No need for any big change, at all.

Anyways, great patch. I totally disagree with every single point the OP has made. USF T3 hard counters OKW early mid game. OKW T4 is delayed now, it takes longer to tech than it used to.
SU can lockdown OKW from the get go. Brits might be a tad fucked though.

Just had a game on 4v4.
Three OKW.
It was absurd. They had 4 luchs by minute 4. We somehow managed to kill 3 of them, then the p4 spam started. We killed some of them too. Then the panthers came on. Then the KT's came on.
I've never seen so many tanks in my life on this game. Not to mention the volks blobs were still there. Oh and goliaths are pretty hilarious too, it's a mobile demo charge.
The stats at the end were hilarious. We all had 2-30 kills, 100+ losses. I'm by no means a great player, but this wasn't even a contest. Why do Relic always do this? This is a massive over buff to OKW, but as they're axis I don't expect a nerf any time soon. I'll try this again in a few months when perhaps they realise that 90% searching axis might mean something is a bit off. |
Jäger and Obersoldaten have the booby traps, which can of course not freely planted only on strat points.

Maybe there could be a small ticking sound and 3-5 second timer on it, would make avoiding them a lot easier, or basically make the engineer squad be tied to the demo with an upgrade of some sort, like demolition package (30 ammo upgrade) which allows you to place demos for 90 and make one of the models have the detonator instead of a rifle

Demo charge is the only good blob counter in 3v3 and 4v4 games. Katys dont annihilate squads, they kill two or three and leave plenty of time for you to retreat. |
