Blitz is kind of a silly ability, it gives even the heaviest german tanks (KT and tiger) the abiity to keep pace with mediums, making them incredibly hard to flank and far too powerful when chasing much weaker armor like M4A3 shermans. Blitz makes sense on P4s and Panthers, but it sshould not increase top speed. It should increase rotation speed and acceleration, so that tanks can get to their top speed faster, but won't be able to straight up beat shermans and T/34s in a race. If anything, the blitz-like ability should have gone to t34/s and shermans, which have to flank heavier tanks (and even tanks in the same weight range) to penetrate well. In: Lobby

It really depends on who you're playing or how you like to play. You can usually get 2 shermans by 7 CPs, so you should be able to completely crush his volks blob with them. If you can kill the flak HQ after he retreats, its usually GG, and mech arty really helps with that. I try to spend the least resources possible on jacksons. If you kill the enemy armor, it becomes a upkeep sink and a fuel sink of 125 fu. I prefer to have 2 shermans before I invest in a jackson, especially since 2 shermans can finish an engine damaged panther easily. In: US Forces Strategies

Would you still have muni for all that? Oddly enough, I find that I can upgrade all my rifles with bars and still have enough munis later on for the artillery strikes. The reason I prefer mech to rifle is that the artillery comes down faster, potentially saving your tank that may have found itself in a sticky situation. In a 1v1 I usually don't find investing in a priest to be the best Idea, I prefer shermans. Edit: As USF, the best strategy for me at least seems to be to gain an avantage in the early game, and keep pressure on the enemy cuttoff until your sherman. WHile this is not the easiest thing to do on all maps if you can force your enemy to tech their T4 in their base or at the very least not very far forward, you will have a much easier time in the late game. Fortifications is a "long haul" commander choice, which means that you won't be seeing any infil nades or #skillflankers. Winning before 8cps is your best bet. :} In: US Forces Strategies

Thread: OKW Pak 43 Tips23 Mar 2015, 04:04 AM I'd say that mechanized is a good counter to this. The pak43 comes at 8 CPs, and the lack of falls/JLI means that there will be no rifle grenades. If you can keep pressure on the enemy cut off so that it is impossible for your enemy to "build in," you should be pretty good (AA HT is great at stalling volks-blobs with rifle support). The recon + mech arty combo destroys pak43s and makes killing shwerers very easy (180 mu + 3-4 sherman AP shells). This works great on langreskaya for example where it is easy to hit the enemy cuttoff. Fighting positions are great early game as well, and the jeep can be used to find any buildings being set up.
