I have popcorn and beer bought and ready for watching yesterdays casts which I sadly could not watch live due to IRL, sometime this weekend. Call me crazy, but I prefer your casts to even the World Cup! COH2.org/SNF > FIFA! And yes, great to see some new capable casters who know the content, premiering the WF content.(But its tried tested and true Dane who sold me ultimately) I dont understand half of what they are talking about, but the action and the product looks good. Far better than I had dared to hope for. Impressed and hyped for launch. This material alone already, moved me from wary and concerned, straight to prepurchase. Goes to show the power of community casting and involvement. I trust these guys and their output, more than 100 bullshit reviewers and their metascores. In: COH2 Gameplay

Looks to me like this is very much the kind of expansion to the franchise they have been waiting for to throw their money at. Who are these Generals Gentlemen guys btw? Where they prominent in the vCoH scene? Guys do have some good game knowledge, but Im bothered by loyalty, in that SNF wasnt given the chance to air this too (or?) I consider Dane as "one of us", say what you will of Dane but the guy has been a fking trooper ever since and before original launch, not to forget he is actively involved with keeping the official boards in some semblance of sanity. But Ive never heard of these guys, and I have a shameful and biased dislike of casters who smack their lips after every sentence... Petty, I know, but it bothers me.. In: COH2 Gameplay

Calling other people "dicks", pretty much qualifies as being a dick yourself. Anyways, glad to see Relic open the envelope a bit for us to peak inside. The video footage has convinced me to put in a preorder. Im very impressed. New maps, new units and even the UI seems to have been improved in small ways. Its perhaps my imagination but the engagements seem to play out faster, more akin to vCoH. Balance is a progressive process and Im not too worried about that. It will only get better as the team has post-launch time to iron it out, and Im in in for the long run. RTS is a rare genre these days, and Relic certainly is no newcomer to it. In: Lobby

Thread: Honest opinions about Balance - Soviet adv21 Jun 2014, 09:23 AM Yep. Misses can still scatter into a hit. Especially on vehicles where the shot generally cannot "overshoot" to the axis on the side opposite to the firer, so the scatter only misses on 3 axis as opposed to 4 on infantry. Incidentally this is part of what makes Attack Ground useful for blind shots on vehicles. Not sure how prominently AoE figures into that, as I dont know how much penetration AoE carries. I think the penetration value drops off very steeply within the first few feet of the AoE, and alsomat a different rate on different mainguns. Coh2 stats are so bloody complicated... I think speed of the target also indirectly affects the relevance of scatter, in that against a moving target, the missed shots will scatter into the area where the target was, rather than leading along its trajectory to where it currently is when the shot lands. (Which means moving directly away is the safest method to cause missed scatters, because the 4th axis comes intomplay again more prominently) Or Im entirely wrong about everything. I am merely an apprentice Wizard. Are there any Grandmaster Statomancers left in these lands? Maybe Coh2.org could institute some staff positions/titles for a small Coven of Statologists we can summon to our threads in times of need, to illuminate these obscure mysteries for us?
