Really? dude Umm what kind of math are you doing? Obers have a 0.7 incoming accuracy bonus, 80/0.7 is 114hp against small arms fire or the equivalent of 5.71 volks entities in durability against small arms fire and that's at vet 0. @JohnnyB: Yes I'm saying if you gave obers to Allies (especially Soviets) the forums would be in uproar saying my 4 man gren squad is getting vaporised by that lmg. If allies had 4 man squads like axis they would never be able to close in on obers. In: COH2 Balance

They have smoke, they are fast and durable. They need to close in to be effective and they do it without to much truble. And I didn't mention any doctrine. I was just making a point. But it's full of smart guys around here what is the point in making a point anyway? 1st of all if you know how smokes work you just pack up that mg42 and move back, people who do that have not much trouble with shocks as I have seen on both sides. 2nd where was I impolite? I said shock troops are stupid enough to bring a knife not you. 3rd shocks only come in a doctrine unlike Obers so if we are switching obers for shocks of course they will go in that doctrine, and shocks are in the doctrine with IS2 so yes please give me doctrine with shocks and is2. JohnnyB do you play as Soviets? Because if you did you would know Shocks are stupid enough to bring a knife to a gun fight. They have to be close enough to stab you to do damage, all you have to do is suppress them and they are useless. Now yes please give me Obers in soviet for shocks and I will have obers and is2 in same doctrine. Say goodbye to your 4 man ost squads, they'd be vaporised by obers with lmg even after patch. Also @Jaigen 80/0.7 is 114 not 104hp In: COH2 Balance

Kati you're wasting your time he'll never see sense, 0.7 vet 0 incoming accuracy is a huge bonus for Obers and they never acknowledge it. Against small arms fire it makes them have the equivalent of 5.7 men, all you'll hear them give out about then is the squad wipe potential (which is symptomatic of unit clumping, how many times has it happened to maxim being wiped or left with 1 man from a gren nade?). They just don't want to acknowledge the fact that obers were too good before patch and have since been balanced. I love how they claim well now you are going to see more doctrinal infantry call ins. Well good that means people are not just no brain building obers because they are head and shoulders above any other unit. Now other units can actually compete! Pre-patch obers were a drug that needs to be cleared from the system so people can see sense. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Sittard Summer - Does not Belong in Rotation1 Apr 2015, 19:04 PM Also the doctrine with stuka and elefant is way too good on that map. Any allied arty is 1 shot by the stuka and recon and if you try to advance through that middle point get ready to lose your vehicles to the elefant. Stuka forces you forward as you can't get more than 1 barrage off with the howis and then elefant pops your tanks as they get blocked crossing the only bridge in the city that isn't made of matchsticks. Needless to say, instant veto for me. Map may look pretty but it's completely lacking in terms of depth. In: Lobby
Thread: Sittard Summer - Does not Belong in Rotation1 Apr 2015, 16:18 PM I played the map there just a few hours ago for the first time and was instantly reminded of Lyon from COH1. Then the game broke down into stuka spam with mgs and at guns covering the bridges with the north and south passages being destroyed by a stiff breeze. I was not prepared in terms of having an arty doctrine and katy vs stuka... well you know how that goes. I ended up with an ISU-152 sitting in mid trying to stem the enemy but an elephant put a stop to that. While it's nice to have varied playstyle, that kind of camp-fest gets boring quick, it just comes down to clicking the barrage button when cooldown is finished. In: Lobby

Which affects their rifle, but not the panzershreck. Yeah it's much like the decreased cooldown between shots bulletins that each faction has for their core infantry. It only affects the rifles not other weapons such as BARs and shreks. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Patch March 31st changelog1 Apr 2015, 01:54 AM 1St impressions Ost early game definitely got a nice buff, sniper and mg42 combo works well with pioneers. Scout car extra HP is noticeable. For Soviets, guards are ridiculously good at AI now especially with dp upgrade, perhaps even a bit OP. They are really good anti material unit too, it's easy to destroy unwanted mortars etc with them now using attack move on target. In: Lobby

Relic must have made these changes for good reason, they did say looking at their internal stats that the units they changed had been ear-marked as overperforming so what is there to get angry about?
