Because cheap unit standing up to expensive one on similar weapon profile sounds imbalanced.
Plus, it would completely destroy any balance dynamic vs soviets, unless you want to give them stock weapon upgrades as well.
How about keep their cost at 240.... but when you build a new squad after the upgrade, they arrive 4/5. Thus making the player need to invest another 30 off the bat.
(makes them cost 270 without making them a resource heavy unit). |

Sure if the units wernt total shit...
You build 1 truck... you can get one worthless unit until your next truck... and need all 3 trucks to have a chance vs anything.

KT - Buff HP to 1600 and sorted... still able to be hit and kited by everything but at least its got a chance to get outa there before the marked target + TD's reck it.

2 - They only do that kinda game breaking shit for allies (e.g Croc/KV8 while flamers are OP, and then they bring out the flame Hetzer AFTER the fix where the allies were able to screw axis W/L ratios with it, Centaur vastly outperforming its german AA counterpart that has the same fuel cost... and so on.....) get with the times! |

I think the issue isnt Pgrens.... but a lack of shock infantry on the Axis side...
Pgrens and Sturmpio's are good ect... (mid rage)
But still get butchered by Shocks/Commandos/Thompsons. The axis doesn't really have any equivalent to the point black bum rape units that the allies do and its only gonna become more obvious when the rangers get here. |
Not trying to defend the S1montaur here, just curious; is it actually that imbalanced? Isn't it just its broken house-clearing power that is horrible??
Other than that, it's a pretty late impact-unit, as I see it.
Perhaps he shouldn't have floated 200 fuel and only be in tier 2? The house-clearing is broken, but other than that what I saw didn't seem strange.
yeah it overperforms... it can easily kill any squad 2 bursts (and while they are retreating). Same for pak-crews and ever more so against raketen werfer crews, which are more bunched up, and the AOE of the shots basically instantly wipes them. |
