I would much rather have an Elefant than a Tiger if I'm facing mediums with infantry support. Yeah i have removed tiger doctrines because they can't cut it vs is-2s and struggle vs jacksons and e8s.(i don't have mech assaualt)Been using jaeger armor for riegels,stuka and elfant again vs soviets.Or festung armor with smoke and pak43.Pak43 or elefant is must vs is-2. Final option is close air support for t2 muni conversion panzergrenadier/mine/lmg42 spam. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Ostheer: What is to be done?17 Feb 2015, 07:29 AM They could change the stug to a dedicated tank destroyer with 60 range and better penetration and also much higher cost.Ostwind would see more use if it had infantry suppression like aa truck to counter blobs instead of just gun like pz 4 which will otherwise always be chosen.Those are some options to diversify t3.Pz 4 has no hope till call-in system is fixed and jackson dmg reduced for penetration. Lmg42 loses to both paras with bars,or 1919 rifles whichever company usf player chose. And no tiger isn't all that great vs tanks -struggles vs both jackson and easy eights,can only bully shermans - but lacks speed to pursue and finish off.Its mostly a damage sponge/infantry-at gun killer.What u think doesn't change stats . Thread: Ostheer: What is to be done?16 Feb 2015, 17:21 PM 1.Teching costs adjustment -manpower reduction. 2.mg42 - cruzz kappatch formation with gunner in back,(for all mgs)gren range reduced for suppressed squads(for all mgs),remove 25% recieved accuracy penalty(for all mgs save maxim spammer).15% better traverse so it can actually use that arc. 3.More survivable armored car that can actually compete with enemy light vehicles and give some mobility to this static faction,price increase along with it. 4.Panzerwerfer buff,lefh buff. 5.panzergrenadier back to .80 recieved accuracy instead of current .87 which it was before inexplicapable renerf. Soviets use it because its just very utilitarian. Gives u -kv-8 for blob,particularly OKW also useful vs ost defensive line. IS-2 -second best tank in game,beats tiger easily.Backed by zis will beat panthers easily as well. Shocks -main soviet infantry Flame offmap -powerful vs blobs,can be laid around OKW trucks for massive casualities and will savage a wehr defensive line of paks and mgs. On top of these it also gives camo for zis.Every single ability is highly useful and its a brute of a doctrine. In: COH2 Gameplay
