You get achievements for higher rank. Lots of people like achivements in the gaming world. It's not just about you.

IMO you don't get achievements for a higher ranking.
I am almost on max level and IIRC I never got a single achievement for this (I don't mind because I am not into them at all).

If there was a system like in League of Legends for example, you could buy commanders/bulletins/whatsoever from this stuff.
But that thing now is no thing anyone could be really excited for, honestly.

First of all, I am absolutely no fan of the NDA either. I studied Design and Marketing and I know a lot about viral marketing itself because I have written my bachelor thesis about this topic and I know that Relic might miss some potentional players when keeping everything as a secret.

BUT

EVERYONE who participates in the Alpha had to accept the terms and conditions which included the NDA. There is a big red warning sign everywhere on the Alpha board which asks for keeping the stuff secret.

I want to say that, wether we like the NDA or not, it is not our business.
It's Relic's choice and just keep in mind that the Alpha is something purely voluntary by Relic because we asked many years for it.
Now they give us the chance to balance and take a look at the game before release and some jackasses simply think it's funny to leak the informations.

This will result in Relic stopping such events and the whole community would suffer under this decision because some few were simply not able to keep their mouths shut.

If you don't do it for Relic, please do it for us.

I'm so sad that Van Voort's post broke the NDA and had to be invised but I found it quite funny

Quick information for all Alpha Testers.

If you cannot run the game (a bugsplat appears after you start the game) then change the Alpha's language to German in Steam.

Right Click on Alpha -> Properties (or something like that) -> Language -> English.

The game will then update about 700MB and it should work.

I wanted to know how many people also like to try new playstyles that are outside of the current meta.
What do you do? Which units do you use and which commander fits your playstyle the best?

I, for example, still play the flame HT in 2v2 games because I like it's AI power and the fact that you can restock your units. I also like to play T4 in team games for Brummbär and especially Panzerwerfer.
