Thread: Rifle company 29 Apr 2015, 07:21 AM Sure, Rifle Company is the strongest USF commander IMO. The thing is, that everything in this commander is useful. But luckily there is no artillery that can kill your infantry and no paratroopers. In fact most players rely too much on their Elite Rifles and forget that a green cover Volksgrenadier Squad will still kill them on open fields. I usually play 4 Volks -> Med Truck and get at least one LeIG because it deals very well with the upcoming rifle blobs. Then I proceed building the Flak HT or, depending on the situation, a Jagdpanzer IV which I really learned to like. If all 4 of your Volks have Schrecks, you won't have to fear the E8s. Keep fighting near your med truck and your LeIGs will heavily bleed the USF player because the Rifles aren't cheap to reinforce. This strat works perfectly with the OKW defensive commander (with MG34/BUnker, etc.) In: COH2 Balance

It doesn't make sense that a very vulnerable unit can survive a direct mortar hit as the only inf unit in the game, lol. But otherwise I like playing the sniper very much right now. He does what he should do and unlike the soviet snipers he only bleeds MP and wipes only when the enemy is not attentive. 2 soviet snipers force a German unit to retreat instantly after a shot from each and they have a rather good survivability because of 2 men. Thread: frequent rifle grenades squad wipes28 Apr 2015, 06:51 AM Watch the animation, if you're careful it's nearly impossible to not dodge a rifle nade. The animation itself takes about 1.5 seconds and the grenade flying through the air takes about 2 seconds or more. (If they even fire the grenade because of bugs) If you didn't dodge a rifle nade, you also wouldn't have dodged a regular nade/bundle. Sure, it's radius is bigger than usual grenades but both axis factions bleed munition unlike the allies. As an allie (mostly as Russians) you can spam molotovs and grenades happily because you somehow have > 200 munition floating all the time. As a German you always have to choose wether you shoot this grenade or lay mines, get an LMG, etc... In: US Forces Strategies
Thread: American .30 heavy 28 Apr 2015, 06:45 AM USF's standard infantry is the best in the game and dominates the early game against all counterparts. Adding in a HMG would make Rifles even stronger and prevent Sturmpioneers from flanking which is atm the only solution to counter Rifles because they charge Volksgrenadiers way to good.
