If you stopped reading my post there, than you would have a right to say this. Ostheer anti tank dedicated units are quite susceptible to the very things they are supposed to counter due to small squad size combined with a high DPS/1 shot meta.

That is a different matter, but still the original statement that Ostheer infantry-held AT is weak does not hold regardless of the qualifiers and explanations you offer after that sentence. Purely speaking, Ostheer has the strongest infantry-held AT (double Schreck PzGrens), although of course Volks are much more useful overall. Yes, PzGrens die more easily since the cover system changes, and they are squishy. But I must say I disagree with the estimate that this squishiness (by the way, that's only 1 squadmember less than Rifles or Volks) is somehow the reason for Tigers / Elefants.

The reason people hold out for Tigers is:
- that it is disproportionately difficult to deal with Tigers cost-effectively as allies.
- that, when you factor in teching costs, a Tiger is just plain cheaper to get than a Panther.
- that the Allied factions' AT capabilities are designed to at least contend with the abundance of heavy armour, which means they are incredibly good against Ostheer T3. In fact, Soviet anti-tank was buffed in May patch of 2014 with the EXPLICIT explanation "OKW has a lot of heavy armour, so Soviet AT at the moment just isn't going to cut it". Which is when ISU-152 was buffed from being affectionately called "the quickest way to throw a game as Soviets" into a beast that dominated the meta for months.

Jacksons don't suck. Especially with veterancy they become incredibly good, a much better option than Su85, for example.

But without veterancy, Jackson shots will relatively frequently bounce off Panthers, Brummbars, Tigers, and not to mention superheavies. And bounced shots do not grant even a sliver of vet. Axis tanks reliably penetrate allied tanks, so they get a steady supply of vet, and a very useful vet1 ability. They also can bounce shots meaning they can disengage with their vet intact.

Axis tanks also have a luxury that I feel is underrated when discussing game balance - namely, they can afford to enter the visual range of enemy infantry and not lose half health instantly. They can afford to maybe get stuck on pathfinding around an obstacle without that second volley of handheld AT destroying them.

Move Obersoldaten to the HQ building and make them immediately available. That, too, will ensure you see less Volks on the field.

If you remove the ability for the truck to push, also remove it from All scout cars and light vehicles. There is no reason a Heavy Halftrack shouldn't be able to push infantry when a scout car can, it already takes damage from small arms, and a single shock squad can kill it in about 3 seconds while it's setting up.

a) The properties of an OKW building under setup have literally zero bearing on a halftrack's ability to push infantry.

b) Every scout car and light vehicle in the game must be purchased with fuel and manpower, and take time to accumulate fuel and build, literally none are available in the first crucial engagements when fuel is capped and map control gets carved out. I cannot wrap my mind around the fact you are trying to tie the elimination of this abusive strat to nerfing all other factions' light vehicles.

c) "Pushing with it is risky, exposes it to small arms fire" - so does pushing with light vehicles, which require teching, cost fuel and manpower, are not immediately available on the field, and whose counters can hit the field by the time they are on the field.
