One of the reason FF seem to difficult to balance are tulips rocket that allow it destroy meduim very fast.
Since the FF is receiving 2 buffs, how about locking tulips behind anvil/hammer and allowing some breathing room to mediums?

it still rotate too slowly to keep up with planes
Agreed.
I'm not too keen on the idea of buffing the bofors rotation speed, but if there is no other way...
Maybe if the bofors gets an AA mode it can have faster rotation speed or make it just shoot straight up to bring down planes.

Agreed too, but to be honest, if tulips get locked behind hammer, fireflies should receive another buff to compensate such drastic change, make its turret turn faster, or let fireflies move faster

One has to be careful with FF speed it get speed at vet 1 and it can also have access to warspeed

Do you imagine fireflies ramming other tanks like t34? That would be literally a mad lad

Shoot faster it is then.

Then it is the Jackson clone with rockets and warspeed .
Best option imo is giving it a better turret rotation. Its current state is just terrible in terms of turret rotation.

For the tulips, if turret rotation get buff as mentioned above, put it behind anvil OR hammer is acceptable, but i think it should be available for both specialization.

I like a turret rotation buff better too, but there's still a huge difference between m36 and FF besides reload speed

How does reducing reload time on FF create a Jackson clone? The jackson is waaay more mobile

If FF ROF increases it will be able to displace any medium and heavy by itself, like the mentioned M36.
In case you forgot, you can always help the turret rotation speed by issuing the whole tank to turn, therefore its more a QoL buff and a "afk" buff rather a Raw power/cost buff.
The FF speed buff is intended to help its positioning and make it less prone to panther hunting.

That still is far away from being a "clone"...
Turret rotation was mentioned by several other people, wasn't even my idea. Yes im aware you can turn a tank...

Can't do that. The Firefly only looks cool once you upgrade it with Tulip rockets. It just looks so dumb without them. When I get a Firefly the first thing I do is immediately purchase the Tulip rocket upgrade. Doesn't matter if I won't even use them (which I almost never do).

I'm confused. You said ff look dumb without tulips but at the same time said you never use them. So tulips are just decorations in your eye ???
And we are not removing the upgrade, we are delaying it by a tech LV, in exchange for a way more usefull buff that really help lessen the micro tax in FF.
An issue that i usually meet is if my FF is turret cant catch up when i turn the vehicle to facing new target come in different direction.

Explains a lot

With hull down, the FF can replace the 17 pdr, then the 17pdr can be move to Commander and be made better. Also, if anvil can prove hull down for all vehicle, then churchill's stock survivability can be torn down and comeback with hull down, thus make anvil a very defense/static oriented specialization.
I mean, i will take any chance to move emplacements out of UKF line up, such as above, or add usf mortal to T2 and move motar pit to Commander.

To be more specific. AEC will be puma clone (pretty much same as now, lower MG performance) maybe removed smoke, replace by war speed (vet). Valentine have speed reduce to churchill lv, HP increase to about 550-600, 80 dmg main gun, smoke pot remain, improve MG and AOE.
