On topic while the gren change is an innovative solution to a problem, it does have a certain implication that other 4 men squads should also have a DR as they do have the same issue.

Well no other faction also has
- 4 men mainline inf (since when is Boister delayed?)
- to face Large AOE mortars
So UKF does have 4-man mainline infantry
... Sort of self-defeated point there, Bolster tech or not.
No 120mm mortars on axis side, aye.
Just Brummbar, Stuka, Lefh...

But armor does not offer protection against explosions. Armor only offers protection against small arms, which aren't the problem.
I know, but I reiterate my previous point that I don't think this 20% damage reduction will fundamentally alter if a howitzer nukes the squad as much as it will make throwing a grenade at grens even less appealing.
I don't think this is a HUGE change and ultimately I think it just means that as USF I'll be even less inclined to tech grenades against Wehrmacht than I already was (since the most important nade, IMO, is the snare which is given via vet anyway).
This is just hypothetical tho -- I'll try to run some games and see what happens.

No dude, better yet, make them 5-man with 12 damage rifles like volks. Boom, no more wipe problems!

yea totally the same, add bolster to osther then ?
Ostheer already has bolster in infantry doctrine. 5 men grens with 20% damage reduction, someone in balance team really wants unkillable grens together with best mg, at, tanks and indirect fire.

Wew lads, I like how drastic changes like 20% damage reduction for Grens are now in, but somehow replacing SpecOP's flares with stuka recon is still beyond big brain balance team.
Still, Sovbourne guards now got fix they needed since last commander patch so we're moving at right direction (aside of giving damage reductions to mainline units after removing them last patch because they were too OP even for doctrinal elite infantry coming out at CP3)
