I suggest removing the plates or at least one.

The signs are there so you have no excuse walking into a death field. No signs and I will be nerfed to hell.
Their primary goal is area denial. Those that try to push through WILL suffer.

Yeah man good idea. Let's make demo undetectable again too unless standing on it and not being able to defuse it!

No.

S-mines are already complete cancer in the hands of a wehr player that knows how to use them. They take years to remove with pioneers -epecially if the pios are under fire-, you often lose the pios if an explosive type of weapon shoots at them while clearing, and cheeky players love to put a teller mine in the middle of the s-mine field to screw over players that wanna clear them with tanks or to increase the chance for a pioneer oneshot.

If the signs would be removed, they would turn from "cancer but somewhat balanced" to completely broken. A squad that walks into the field is dead if you dont retreat instantly after the first explosion.

if you use them to defend your flanks and have half a mind ow whats going on around them they wont be swept so easily. i think thats why players think they suck- they set them up waaaaaay away on a scenic flanking route like normal multipurpose mines and expect the enemy to walk right through them. use them near where your units are and watch what a rifle nade or mortar shell does to a sweeper on a mine field. they will be swept away in 90 minutes if you let them, the trick is to not just let them.
