I think giving it a higher accuracy shot for a premium muni cost (even 150) is perfectly fair considering there are now uncounterable commander abilities that are near perfect accuracy (time on target artillery; stuka dive bomb).

This one would require not only a hefty muni cost, but also having the howitzer built in the first place, vetted, and also limited by its own range.

edit: also, switch the ml-20 in tankhunters tactics with b4 as well ;]

It was hardly efficient investment.


That has more to do with Von making mistakes elsewhere and not repairing his b4s when he had the changes. However, neither did the LEFH win Paula the game. What won paula the game is that he didn't give up and Von throwing the game...

Still saying the B4 is useless is a big stretch like many claim here!

In a forward build it can be pretty strong but it has it donwsides. Overall the unit needs no change. Only the random behaviour of the 90mun ability is a downer.

On the other side it is far from op as one user around here insist on.

Von's proven the B4 isn't useless: you need clever tactics and to be good at leading your targets.

But 'not useless' doesn't mean overpowered. I'm surprised so few people get that.

Everyone repeats its a meme unit, which it is.
Its a slot machine with the same probability of a jackpot and usually casino is the only winner.

Yeah it is funny. It reminds me a lot of the 120 mm mortar, where it is wasting most of its time to just all of a sudden nuke a unit in one hit.

I love people not understanding units. They make a wild jungle of opinions.

First of all the "its useless piece of crap" kind:
They simply dont use the unit well, they are like, i want to open a tin can with a spoon! They also summarize the frustration of loosing games and focus it on a unit that didnt performed as they expected.

Then there are the "Because the enemy faction has ***"kind:
Because they want to play AoE but in ww2, they want a clone of each unit on each side, to repeat the same strategies over and over again, only changing aesthetics and dialogues. The game never forces a player to play the other factions, but it does force to change its strategies based of a faction strong a weak spots. True balance never exists, its possible to round up pretty close and even better make a dynamic balance. The only balanced match is a mirror match and is boring AF.

The "This unit needs buffs man":
They want to use over and over and over the same unit. Its not a balance issue, its a love issue. They love meta units and mostly borderline OP and cheesy ones. Because they stick to the same game strategy, they play always offensively.

Then there is the L2P...

I think it's pretty clear the B4 will always be an unreliable, derpy unit purely for fun. Too accurate and it's OP, too weak and it's not a B4. It's great fun in big team games.

That being said, one game I got a direct fire Tiger kill with it which was amazing. Followed up later by wiping out multiple friendly squads because another direct fire shot collided with a capture point flag pole, which was not amazing.

My vote would be for expensive, rare "one shot" abilities to not get whiffed by shot blockers.
