I seriously don't understand this weird sentiment of maxim spam. Like, what? Every faction can spam MGs, but for some reason when Soviet players do it (who also happen to have the most garbage MG in the game) it's a bad thing? I don't know how many shit tier Wehr players I've had to deal with who decided 4 MG-42s out the gate is the right move. You know what happened? Smoking, flanking, in-direct fire, etc. I don't want to hear anyone bitch about how the MG-42 has 4 men, I don't care.

The arc, rate of fire, suppression, and damage on that thing is retarded, but you don't see me complaining about it when it gets spammed.

Yeah that unit is straight up retarded. Either people don't know how to use it properly and call it useless or DO know how to use it but still say it's useless to downplay just how OP it is. Who needs maphacks when you can just buy one of the cheapest unit's in the game and call it a day.

Edit: aerafield makes a great point I forgot about. You'd think a unit that gets banned regularly in tournaments would be saying something.

B4 is a meme machine that is it. Be honest with yourself and notice no competitive player or team uses this commander seriously. How about you try to use it yourself and see how difficult it is to play?

It's not my fault if high competitive players would rather play the same meta over and over again trying to reach a rank that really doesn't matter and don't want to experiment. I play with a partner and we've reached top 30 in team-of-twos because meta players have a hard time countering meme strats and unconventional strategies... one of which is very aggressive play with the B4. I've stopped plenty of axis advances because my B4s would devastate their forces before they could properly push, and have for-mother-russia pinch them after they had to retreat.

I've also had plenty of times where my B4s would be shelled by LEFHs from across the map (by counter-battery) or wasted 90 munitions because the B4 shell flew right by a tank that was barely moving, or hit a twig and exploded before it reached its destination. I've also been properly countered plenty of times by stuka dive bombs and shrek flanks.

So yeah, I've played with it plenty of times, and it isn't necessarily difficult. I wish I could replace all the ML-20s with B4s because in my opinion it's a million times more useful than a shittier LEFH with no vetted abilities to use for some stupid reason.

Dude I'm totally with you on all of it except leaving the match if you're not grouped together. That's a dick move, stop doing that. My partner and I are disappointed when we're not paired together in 4v4s but at the least we know that there is a competent player on each side of the map.

Most of the QoL improvements we can only hope to come in COH3.
