Bulldozer Sherman, pseudo Jumbo.

This is a derivation from the other topic about the dozer upgrade discussion.

My suggestion here is simple, Urban Assault, the new USF Commander, gets a new unique tank in the form of the Bulldozer Sherman which will act as a Sherman Jumbo of sorts, meaning slow as fuck, having a large health pool and somewhat armor similar to the KV1 and Churchill but a shitty 75mm gun without the ability to switch shell types like the regular Sherman. I was thinking of it retaining it's MG upgrade however and perhaps smoke but I'm not so sure.

Of course that would mean the removal of the dozer blade from both the Mechanized Company and the Armor Company's 105 Sherman but it would provide the USF with a meatshield tank to screen for the Jacksons and help infantry push, again similar to the KV1 and Churchill of sorts.

To top things off I think it would solve the issue of people asking Urban Assault receive either the E8 or 76 Sherman and it would be easier to balance in my opinion but I won't comment on that.

That's about it on my part I think, feel free to discuss the idea here. I think this is as close as a meatshield Jumbo kind of tank we're going to get for the USF in this game until they enable model editing and importing which I don't suppose will be soon sadly.

If it's a separate tank why not just use the 105?

So Urban Assault can get an entirely new tank and USF finally get their much needed meatshield.

Imo from a design point of view:

Elite infatry (ranger), Heavy tank (Sherman) and doctrinal Rocket artillery in one commander should not be available.

Not a heavy tank, a slow and expensive meatshield tank with a crappy gun, take it as a moving wall on tracks if you will for the most part. It's just there as a damage sponge for Infantry and other tanks. Plus Heavy Cav already features a Heavy tank with the Rangers and the Calliope isn't exactly the most useful of rocket artillery.

While I get where you're coming from, I don't think it's a problem so long as it's NOT a call-in.

Because fuck heavy call-ins.

Remember how OKW has all that nondoc?

@OP I don't really know that another sherman variant is really necessary. If you want something that actually has health there's the dozer and EZ8 (to a degree) and there's always the pershing too.

...

So, youre saying you want a OKM clone on USF?

Die a hero or become what you most hate they said.

To whoever wants to argue that Jumbo is not doable, bringme the pictures of an M4A3 and an M4A3E2, then show me what differences can be viasually noted.

1) Create a Tier 4 doctrinal Jumbo

2) Ditch this ugly dozer crap

3) ???

4) Profit

Jumbo should be put in Armor Company, 105mm Sherman put in the new doctrine.

Jumbo might be too good, because of vehicle crews, they might as well just buff the 105 some more, put it behind tech and in this Commander.

Then there is not much point of having a damage sponge when you'll need rear echelons to repair it, works for other factions but for USF, that's one of the things keeping the Pershing in check. And the Pershing is a lot more lethal.

The model should basically be this:

M4A3 Chassis and hull with the 76mm Sherman turret and 75mm gun in it, the additional armor could be skipped because while nice it would require more model work and they would barely be noticeable anyhow.

Sadly the mod tools are severely limited in the modeling department.

Is that an actual in game model or just a photoshop?
