OK, OKW do have a non-doc 60 range TD which OST doesn't.

Ehm..no, we were talking about double shrek sturm, and i wouldn't call ptrs41 bad either.


I dont think ptrs41 clones would be good on pfus. Penals PTRS are good part because its the only AT options in T1, OKW has t0 at guns and are arguably better LV deterents than PTRS41s. If SOV had a t0 at gun I doubt the ptrs package for penals would get used much. Also Penals still have 4 SVTs on them so they can still somewhat fight infantry. Pfus would have 3 kar98s and would be completely useless against infantry while not being that effective against late game armor.

Penals are not allowed them, because they would be a complete no brainer unit for soviets, especially considering the fact that maxim and cons are fighting in a pit to see who can suck donkeys balls more(cons at least have some redeeming qualities in doctrines).

Admittedly, if Sov had T0 AT gun, Penals wouldn't have gotten the PTRS in the first place.

If they had the Guard AT rifles then I could see it be pretty strong.


I recently made the mistake of using a cons build w/o ppshs. One of my most miserable games in recent memory.

Well, there are BOYS AT sections, which also have AT nade and good PTRS and they aren't really a problem.
Given... they aren't 0CP either.

Since everyone is panicking over blobs, I'd say that if we gave Panzerfusiliers a Boys AT Rifle-Panzerbüchse upgrade that damage infantry, the chance of blobs is much higher than the current double Schreck package.

Compare the list:

Panzerschrecks
- 280 manpower
- barely any AI left
- 120 munitions
- manpower and munitions needed on other AI infantry to keep field presence

Panzerbüchse
- probably 250 manpower
- decent at both AI and AT - good at both in numbers
- probably 60 munitions
- all manpower and munitions can be spent on massing this infantry because it deals with all threats

If they want to rely on AT rifles against medium armor, I say let them experience how op it actually is.

I personally would prefer to receive easily retreatable chip damage then OHK alpha strike.

5 man dual shreck squad is a bad idea.
5 man single shreck squad is a bad idea.

HELL giving any additional infantry AT options to a faction that is literally bloated with AT is a bad idea, OKW have 3 different STOCK tank destroyers, one for each tier of possible allied armor.

If modders are really so keen on giving dual shrecks to OKW, it should be on sturmpios.

PTRS Pfussies would still be inferior AI option and infantry would easily contest them.

Panzershreck is not something to give to 5 men squads costing 280mp.

300mp sturm can get no problem 2 shrecks
At rifles (especially guards at rifles) are arguably better because are both at and ai, and counter better light tanks.

As someone who plays mainly team games I don't want to see any more squads with double shreks in game beyond PzGrens.

Sounds fair getting 2 Shreks option for Sturmpio.

Every other faction in game can get their hands on two AT weapons and stun nade.

UKF Engineer with 2 piats plus stun
USF Riflemen with 2 bazookas plus stun (ideally, not many do this, definitely be the best AT unit choice for USF)
SU Penals with 2 PTRS plus AT Satchel

WEHR Pzgrens (too costy) 2 Pzshreks without stun
OKW Sturmpio has currently 1 Pzshrek without stun

So, it is a good balanced idea. No AT nade though for Sturmpio. It definitely would be nice to have 2 Pzshrek as an option instead.
