80% damage to p4 is still joke, chances you going to hit tank in first place are next to zero unless it's rammed, snared and you're playing on small map and even then you're not even killing P4, by the time you'll get this offmap chances are you're already fighting against elefants and panthers.

That strafe is as useless as CAS AT strafe.

It should be 180%. Maybe even damage the next tank that comes in

If they added the T34/85 with the Airborne Rally Point unlock that would make it a really solid commander.

Alternatively give para-guards mark target or an AT upgrade.

As it is the air call-in isn't nearly enough to make this commander desirable, due to the lack of decent AT for the late game.

Imagine you deploy T34 anywhere on the map. Can parachute a T34 on designated area. How cool would that be.

You could drop one on inf, like Battlefield 2 #Cartillery

The T-34 cannot be parachuted, only the T-37/38/41 and T-40 could be transported by air. How about T-34 Ace, in my example above about joint actions of paratroopers and tankers, in the 1st Guards Tank Brigade served (and participated in the Mtsensk operation) the best tankman of the USSR and the Anti-Hitler coalition: in 2.5 months of fighting, he destroyed 52 tanks.

He may have an aura like a commander’s tank: in the presence of an ace, the other tanks act more efficiently. Ace can get improved abilities and veterancy.

I like the idea of a T-34 command tank, but with abilities rather than an aura

1)ptrs conscript lost their unique ability from the tank hunter commander after this upgrade
2)may consider conscript upgrade change cocktail to grenade (of cos have to tech up first)

But will a soviet commander really mount a t34? Weren't they crap quality tanks? Greatly designed and fast junk tanks.

Maybe a commander kv1? Or is it too much?

It was so incredibly satisfying killing a sniper by dropping a jeep on them, whilst watching it happen from overhead.

IMO a standard KV1 would be good enough, just so that they don't have to rely almost entirely on rocket call-ins to take on late game armour. Without that this commander will probably mainly be used in team games.

How would KV-1 help against late game armour?

In the same way it helps with any commander that has it, it's a better and more useful medium tank. One that can take more hits than a T34, if nothing else.

It also can't run away from panthers or jagpanzers.

Dunno, to me the KV-1 is what you get when your enemy has a ton of infantry and is spamming AT guns or handheld AT, but not medium+ tanks.

Though KV-8 is better for that role (and with its gun changes, can actually hold off mediums until help arrives without getting hard-countered).

Kv1 durability can be useful paired with abilities since it gives some space and time to use them well

You are right, that's a fair disadvantage.
I'm sort of in the middle about it though, since at the moment you field a heavy the core of your army is ready to support it. I mean smoke can help fend off Panthers and maybe a zis.

I really would like to see some extra damage reduction on kv1, and this could be a good excuse

How about a "stolen" German tank. Acting in the enemy's rear, the paratroopers could theoretically steal the German tank. For example: on October 4, a group of paratroopers under the supervision of Senior Lieutenant P. Balashov made a raid on the airfield, where there were three TB-3 aircraft. The group destroyed two planes, and on the third Balashov took all the paratroopers to the location of their troops.

SVT drop. It should be tuned for all soviet infantry (including all kinds of Guards, Shocks, Comissar squad, Partisans and I still wish that it will give soviet sniper a PTRS for sniping both infantry and LVs). In theory, it should also give something different for Western Allies squads and Axis squads, but thats really too much work.
And that all of that would be described in ability.

IL-2 Rocket Strafe. I suggest cost increase. And I don't want to see PTAB in this doctrine.:hansREKT:

Soviet Airborne will get the intelligence bulletin? Or will they use the Guard intelligence bulletin? Or will it be a pseudo unit without bulletins?

Guards ones might work.

Bulletins are almost pointless though so I'd hardly worry about it not having them. It's not as if anyone'd actually use an Airborne Guards bulletin in place of a Conscript or Penal Troops one.
