Maybe people should have a look at soviet winning ratio in GCS2 and in the 2vs2 tournament. USF are pretty strong now but that doesnt mean that Soviets are weak.

i really like soviets for the overall flexibility. They have properly the most viable openings/build orders/commanders.

I'm not sure why, maybe it's me, or is it that soviets as a faction is very weak? I barely see people play it. Everyone is either USA or Brit?
theyre by far the best faction... they lack nothing and are easy too play in early mid and late game.

They have also been trying to fool around with defense doctrine with both dshk and m42 so you can counter okw blob and luchs but as much as they tried to believe it, the dshk is just trash.
T34 85 needs to have slightly less AI. It's shells are basically on par with Sherman HE yet it does everything.

Soviets are weak this current patch outside of one meta, you can see all the top players struggling to find something that works with them because penals+guards is just the only viable build when it's not the one and only urban def.
Soviets were not changed in the past 6 months, they did not become any weaker than they were around GCS2 and the AC tourneys. The only real thing that changed is that USF and UKF became stronger and more diverse, and people have flocked to playing those. I suppose because those faction are ultimately more effective right now, and because it's more fun. Soviets are still strong, just boring to play.
