I would like to see it get increased pen and its range increased back to 50.
No one good is really using this unit right now.
I think the comet tank is due for a buff.

I've played with the same group of people you play with and have played with people better than you and your group. This is not l2p issue.
I don't care about your personal issues with brits.
Since the panther has been buffed, this tank is pretty much worthless.

Its not a bad vehicle, its just overpriced for its capabilities. Reducing its cost by 10 fuel would be a good start.

Give it back the .75 on-the-move accuracy modifier. There was no good reason for the Comet to lose that, given how many other things were nerfed at the same time.
It made sense for the cromwell to lose it, but it seems like the comet should have that capacity as much as any tank in the game. Giving it back that modifier would be a nice place to start I think

Ya know I wouldn't be opposed to that but after the panther got a pop cap nerf where the panther pop is more than the comet, it's obvious that the comet is fine where it is.

The panther should have the edge vs the comet. It used to be that the comet, the generalist, actually had a slight upper hand on the panther, an anti-heavy specialist.

I'm inclined to agree- Comets are pretty rare now from my experience as well and I think they were probably overnerfed back when Brits were getting fine tuned from being OP at launch. I'd say a slight scatter buff and slight cost reduction should be sufficient, nothing too crazy.

ok aside from OPs suggestions being omegastrong for my taste, the comet needs something that ISN'T "I have high armor" to warrant its price. Armor is quite literally hit or miss on whether or not it works. This tank would work significantly better if it was more lethal but didn't bounce things as much.

The Comet is horrible value for money right now but it´s really difficult to think of a way of making it have a clear role and good performance without making it super OP again. Maybe adding an extra 160 HP could be a possibility. This or a slight scatter buff so it does a bit more damage to infantry.

I think this hits the nail on the head. All UKF's other tanks have a niche, even if they're not amazing in that niche (*cough*Cromwell*cough*).
The Comet, however, isn't a tank you really have a reason to build. It costs about as much as a Tiger to unlock and build and doesn't really bring anything more to the table than the two UKF medium tanks you could have bought for that price would have.

Comet is a bad tank that was nerfed out of the game, its primary role, standing up to axis armor isn't cost effective post nerfs, its AI is pretty weak(only Panther is weaker) and a churchil + FF is always a better option then comet+anything or double comet.
Cost reduction, fotm scatter buff, AoE buff, something is needed.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Any of those would do it.
It's historically a Firefly replacement armed with a gun very similar to the 17-pounder, so I think turning it into an AT brawler like the Panther is a good fit. UKF doesn't have a brawler AT tank and it's definitely got a use for one as an alternative to the Firefly.

AI buff so it is more versatile or AT buff so it doesnt get stomped into dust by any tank who has more AT power than p4 anymore.
Right now the comet just sucks hard vs Infantry, Panthers and JP4 so it's not worth the investment.
