0.8 seconds of micro can easily neutralize it

or, you know, one MG in the front, another one covering in the back. that'd require excatly 0 micro.

About the skill level, I know you all rank +100 players dont care about blobs because you dont suffer them and even less in 1v1. But many discussions have circled around factions spamming infantry and blobbing and i figured out how imbalanced in skill level it is, to perform vs to stop it. I though it deserved a good discussion, if you want to tag me with :L2P: im fine with it, but i made a solid point of the game and this kind of problems tend to kill a game over time IMO. Top level players should not reject new players into the game.

No that's a very fair point, there should be at least some attempt to balance over various game modes and skill ranges, and it's important to discuss, of course it's very difficult to do ;)

It's also just my personal opinion that while I love CoH2, there are way too many "tweaks" to units; gun a on unit b performs c% differently against unit d in situation e. It makes it pretty impossible to get a handle on things without deep numerical research into the patch notes for the last 5 years, which is a bit silly and not user-friendly. The aura mechanic, as long as it had a proper UI indicator, is probably the most understandable and realistic way to implement anti-blobbing this without making this issue worse.

On the other hand, concentration of force is a basic and valid military tactic. I don't say "L2P" to anyone cuz it's kind of dismissive but one of the fun parts of CoH2 is gradually learning how to overcome things and thus getting to a higher level. Cheesy tactics can be annoying but it's even more fun when you finally manage to counter them and the person you're beating rage quits cuz of it :D

You're a veteran player, enlighten us. I'm sure you were planning on it anyway.

Smoke doesn't have to be on inf, its on all mortars too.

Well, I could, but I'll wait until a player that doesn't spam Concentrated Excuse Barrage shows up, actually wanting to learn to play.

Me and my mate is lvl 13 with axis and same with allies , we hv faced hardcore blobing almost everygame . it doent matter we r playing axis or allies blobing is meta in 2v2 atleast in my skill lvl . it sucks out all the fun ,to deal with all these blobing every single fu**ing game .
i wish they would just put a RA penality upon bunching up like 3 or more squads together . just putting out my opinion .
we use arty they just hit retreat or lose like 5 to 6 models on retreat even if it hits .
i feel the only faction can effectively deals with blobs is soviets with katusha sturmovicks and shocks + maxims and stuff.
with ostheer u hv to survive till u get a brum bar . the penal blobs jut walk straight up to my mg and shred it in 2 vollies if u get caught not being in green cover .

Bring back the supression mechanics of COH 1 (adjust Coh2 supression penalties/bonuses accordingly). Easier to deal with blobs, forces to blobber to do some real manouvering.

Decrease long range lethality of all but specialist long range squads.

Infantry being able to run about at insane speeds doesnt help either.
