players that doesn't constantly use the same OP tactics over and over again. players that always try different strategies and make them work. players that know what they're doing and not panic when something goes wrong. here are some virtues for a good player quick, clever, calm and flexible.

players that contribute to the community in a civilized way. totally unrelated to skill. some times lower skilled players come with great ideas.

A top tier player never mismanages unless under the most special of conditions (reinforce, dodge grenade, cap, move into cover).

He is able to make bad encounters even, even fights good for him and are also able to pull off those fights where he barely takes any damage at all and the other guy gets destroyed.

A good player is like a machine really. Basic concepts are second nature and he plays for the thrill of overcoming the other player in a good match.

The mindset of a great player, that can vary greatly. Some try to create art others are like hooligans using whatever tool they need to get the job done.

Winning tournaments, getting to the semis is a + too. A good player is on top of his micro at all times, his late game engagements flow as well as his early game engagements. He keeps his resources extremely low early and mid game, and then balances them well with up keep in the late game.

A good player will make your worst case scenario come true when he sees your weakness. He will also continue to gain map control while concentrating on microing his engagements. You cannot go wrong improving in these aspects.

Maybe I like raising my level, unlocking stuff?...
And four stars look better than two no?
Let's say it's just an objective of mine, don't really care about rankings, just have fun...
As I said,longest 1vs 1 I had was 20-25 minutes,it's too short...
And a question,top tier means just 1 vs 1?

What I wonder, is why does it matter?

Why does it matter if 'top tier' starts at 10, 100, 33, 1248 or whatever?

'What defines a very good player', might be a better question.
