Should sniper be more effective vs. buildings?
Me and my mate's sniper shooting like 6 shoots at the M42 member in the building, not one model die, do building need such necessary god-like protection level?

or you want PB? I can share that..... I'm really pissing off by COH2's building cover...

Snipers have a 60% accuracy reduction vs buildings (.4 accuracy); they mentioned this in a stream stating that they wanted buildings to feel 'safe' and that snipers easily sniping men out of buildings discouraged using them.

Maybe if they wanted people to feel buildings are safe they should remove the instant collapse on critical and the ability for even a scout car to crush a building.

Agree. But the whole idea of houses being "safe" is stupid.

I don't mind buildings being safe. I just fell that there should be more reliable ways of dislodging units out of them, especially if my opponent puts an mg in them.

Let's not turn Snipers into VCOH Snipers - They were op as hell.

I've been toying around with what it would be like if snipers were made doctrinal. That could justify fixing some of their issues and letting them be powerful, because it could be limited in other ways based on the other abilities and whatnot.

Back OT: Yes, snipers should hit things reliably. It's the sole point of the expensive and fragile unit.

I disagree.

I think buildings should provide ample protection vs Suppression and Snipers.

Small arms, however, need a boost vs buildings, as do small calibre Mortars (specifically as building damage, to destroy the building).

Yes, this. The protection vs. small arms is over the top right now, IMO.

Maybe they could change point blank to also reduce (but not ignore) the effect of garrison cover?
That way you could deal some damage if you get close enough and against HMGs you could dance around the building.

It'd kinda make sense because once you are very close you'd most likely be able to shoot diagonally through windows and hit people using the wall left or right of it as cover. Or you could stick a SMG (if you have one) into the window and just spray+pray.

@rofltehcat: Interesting suggestion! Would sort of indirectly emulate "storming" the building!

If a rifle grenade can take out a building and a mortar shell can't something is wrong.

No doubt this is a glitch and they will fix it.

Buildings are "safe" until a single mortar shot takes out a building with 80% hp. The RNG strikes again.

Isn't it a sweet deal if it's your mortar?
