Fusilers vs Volks

Can anyone comment on the differences between these two units since the veterancy changes? They both possess a grenade, snare, and with their weapon upgrades are most effective at close to medium range. I usually end up replacing volks with fusiliers if I lose them due to their very good vet 5 sprint ability and vision with upgrade, but other than that they feel pretty similar.

Fusiliers are much better at long range while being about the same at short to mid range (G43 have the same DPS on all ranges). 6 men make them a bit more durable. The vet1 flares are extremely useful to scout for info/arty/tanks.
Also they can pick up up to two dropped weapons (besides the Gew43s) which turns them into terminator squads. Vetted Fusies with one or two LMGs are insanely powerful.
I really like using them on big open maps.

Fusiliers are osttruppen with a grenade. Not worth it in 1v1 imo. It doesn't help that breakthrough is pretty crap. You're better off with Jaegers or Falls.

If osttruppen had 6x higher accuracy, were extremely effective at range, had 60% accuracy vet, massive sight range, perma sprint with vet, flares for easy recon, faust AND nade and 1 target size instead of 1.25.
You're off your meds, aren't you?
The only reason why people do not spam pfussies like no tomorrow is because volks got STGs.

No, there are multiple reasons people don't spam them in 1v1. Including the fact they are part of a bad doctrine and the fact that their upgrade is 90 munitions. They are only good in theory.

Id argue its moreover that the Psfus come in a doctrine that isnt really that good minus them, also Falls or Defensive doc are better in most situations.
You still see pfus from time to time though and they work when put in situations they excel. Although the 90 muni g43s seems a little steep.

get fussis if you're replacing volks. They're basically a 6 man volks squad with slightly better DPS and vet. Flare is great bonus. Personally I'd just go with fussis over volks all the time if you can. Only problem is as stated in multiple posts before this, the doctrine for 1v1 is garbage. You're better off using falls to support volks and working into obersoldaten with volks loses. The falls will carry your snares. Although obers at 4 men are prone to indirect and tank wipes, and obers tend to be tank magnets since they completely lack AT.
