Here see you a example where the KT had a dmg engine...what is a normal situation in a fight vs a KT when you want him to kill seroiusly.

it is so slow that is no problem to kill it....even with the "dot" dmg from guards...tell us...why is it dot dmg when guards shot with the ptrs...and not when panzergrens shot with faust? ptrs make even dmg when not penetrading...its a "do dmg whenever u shot" sometime more..sometime less....but its not a "dot"

Slow burn vs burst. The ptrs DOES do great deflection damage, so does the shrek. BUT if you only have a chance to fire off 1 volley (not unlikely for a fleeing tank for example) the pgren squad can do up to 240 damage and the penal squad can do up to 80

Dot= damage over time (think molitov)
Burst= damage all at once (think standard grenade)

They both have their uses, but one is undeniably more pressing that you get out NOW same with standard AT vs the PTRS

And the ptrs is ABSOLUTELY dot. Unless you stick around for some time it aint going to do much damage. Amd if it didn't do deflection damage it would have no use at all. None. It would be no threat as a deterrent and be one of the only AT weapons in the entire game that becomes obsolete (thats right, you pay a minimum of 300mp and slap some munitions into a unit that then has a shelf life)

If you are in a situation where your KT is actually threatened for its life by AT rifles the problem is that you failed to support one of the most expensive units in the game and thats on you, not on the balance team

Now do the same thing vs T34 or P4.

You will instantly know the difference.

Burst damage is always more dangerous and punishing then steady, low damage.

Behind the corner, right next to allied JagdTiger, behind passively self healing mainline infantry and 230 armor stock medium tank.

ah...you mean the jagdtiger which need a whole army to support it, cause it will smashed by a single AT unit/ light armor, skillplanes, and so on...?

maybe the ISU is nearly good like the jagdtiger? less range but by far more mobile, has really good AT AND AI?

oh..you mean selfhealing is such great? its only a little thing...not much win relevent.

what is with churchills? are they not stock medium (pricetag) whith high armor?

do you want tell us armor is relevant when all counter faction has infantery with doesnt need to pentrate your armor to do dmg?

Don't like it, then I'll take it :sibHyena:

Anyway:

Different factions have different toys to play with was my point.

Do not make yourself a victim here, plenty of toys on axis side allies have no access to.

Scroll up then.
I will also stop right now, since ist about AT, not teaching you differences between factions.

Did you already did that AT test of yours vs med tanks, so you have less biased result?

How can a comparison of Guards and shreck equipped S.pioneer be about AT since according to you Guards are not an AT unit in the first place?

Are Guards in your opinion an AT infantry or not?

you will not find one toy which has not one alli faction in a nearly similarly form.
You know why? Because brits gets all the nice stuff from all faction...mostly in better versions.

And you know that. Thats why you don´t tell us some examples, right?

guards are not really expansive..compared to their performanche. Other elite infntery are much expansiver....but perform not like them.

And they cost about 37-40 manpower per model..while guards are cheap 27mp models....

Tiger Ace.

Get a vet 3 Pershing.

Tiger Ace is not more than fast shooting tank which is a shoot in the own feet over a longer time than 6-8minutes.

In a strategy game everything exists in the context of everything else. Comparing units without comparing resource costs, opportunity costs and timing windows will lead you to flawed conclusions.

But if you want a mechanic that doesn't appear in SOV, USF or UKF -

- cloaking machine guns.

Saying Tiger ACE cost only man power is a over-simplification.

The unit has the highest CP requirement at 17, the highest manpower cost at 800 and is the only unit with a penalty (90/25).

tell me:

What is better? To pay 230 fuel? Or pay 400 and more fuel to survive a Tiger acer over time?

you pay fuel for the tiger ace...not at the callins...but after the callin you pay hard for it...calc the fuel cost for it over 24min (or more) by a income from around 26fuel per minute.

tiger ace HAS FUEL COST

It has no upfront fuel cost. You can call in a Tiger Ace with no fuel in the bank whatsoever. If you should wasn't the question - whether or not using the Tiger Ace is a good idea is a situational judgement.

Nevertheless, you said the Tiger Ace example wasn't to your satisfaction so I gave you cloaking machine guns instead.
