It's a shame that the 222 only really counters the m20 and the universal carrier... Since the sniper cloaking was fixed why not revert the 222 back to 221 (anti-infantry)? No one really uses 222's to fill the lack of an AT gun because of AEC, Stuart, AA half-track, T-70 but wehr do need something to help the 4 man squads win engagements more often (without having to blob).


To be honest it isn't even a very good counter for the m20. Vehicle crew exiting from m20 causes great danger for the Scout Car.

The 222 needs an overhaul. I was looking at the specs at other light vehicles like M20 and the M15, also the the M3 HT. It also needs to be tweaked to be an effective anti sniper / harassment / flanker unit to retain some usefulness.

Price to 250 MP / 25 Fuel

Armor from 9 / 4,5 to 15/15
Vet 0 Smoke
Existing useless Vet 1 ability replaced something along the lines of OVERDRIVE (M3) or Flanking speed that boosts speed and acceleration, or some sort of Bitz. This would enable the unit to work as an effective flanker/pursuit/harassment unit despite fundamental fragility.

MG 42 COAX moving accuracy from 0,5 to 0,75

Note that, even though, it may appear that we are heavily reducing the MG’s damage output, however, the MG was never able to fire in the first place, due to a MG tracking bug.


I'd just say remove the modifier from the mg. no penalty, no bonus.

To be quite honest, it wasn't worth it when it was 210 mp and 15 fuel either. You always needed two of them to do anything with them.

The 222 in game resembles what Ostheer is as a faction; an outdated design with hampered teching options that crutches on a few units that hold it together. The 222 is countered within a minute of it hitting the field lol.

Lol can the 222 even counter snipers, nice thread tho, 222 is gonna need its mg nerfs reverted to be able to kill soviet snipers; I say sniper's cause soviet sniper abuse in team games 4Head

look how fast a m20 or other light cars form allie kils a ost sniper...and than try the same with a axis light car to a sov sniper....you must drive behind them over the whole map..and only kill it with luck in the sov base...awefull

While the 222 certainly doesnt do a good job of hunting snipers (revive the 221!) Comparing its ability to others using the most durable form of sniper seems somwhat biased... I mean wouldnt an m20 have a harder time killing the 2 snipers than a brit or ost one to begin with? Yes its underperforming but if it could kill 2 models just as fast as any other one can kill 1 i think we would return to 444, 666 meta

it would be ok if the 222 need double of the time which need a m20 to kill a ostsniper...but..

Yesterday in order to kill an UKF sniper i was running like 3/5 of the map was hilarious ., The 20mm Only hit them 1 time., giving some nice damage but most damage come from the 7,92 mm MG 34 attached to the side

But really What can do a 222 with the current Meta ?., Only destroy undefended like light vehicles like trucks but light tanks? is another history, Agaisnt infantry is not viable., Receive damage for small weapons fire, can add "some damage" but is very inconsistent sometimes work., sometimes doesn´t work.,

isnt a good idea to use it only one ALONE., you must use it in pairs to get any chance., to get some damage and forget about let them alive all the game. some rifle volleys + some damage for any anti tank and you need to retreat., Wehrmacht dont have mobile field presence, but i think is a price to pay to have both very good HMG / Mortar weapon teams.

if some of yours 222 survive ( pretty strange thing). Is viable to use as Anti-Air., with all those Sturmovik going around that a decent anti air network win games.

I think the scout car's ability to capture points will increase its utility more.

I miss when you had to upgrade the 222 to have the 2cm autocannon and it would have worse DPS.
