Strange thing happened in one of my games

Hi guys,

Not sure if this was the right subforum for my topic and I apologise if not.

So something strange happened in one of my games yesterday, I was playing against a soviet (1v1) and at some point in the game I move my Stug into some bushes where some penals were camouflaged. This is the strange bit:

Penals prepare to throw a satchel on my Stug and the moment one of the with the satchel raises his hand to throw, my Stug fires and the satchel goes boom instantly killing the entire penal squad and damaging my stug.

Never seen this before, can satchels explode before their timer?

yes they tend to explode if the entity using them dies.

But how could a stug single shot wipe out an entire penal squad?

only the entity using the satchel has to die the rest from satchel.

Well, the satchel is a projectile/entity that can explode when hit. Your Stug shot the guy just as he got the satchel out, but the shell hit the satchel mid-air, causing the satchel to explode.

All AT nades work the same, if the member throwing the nade is killed while the animation is going the nade it autoexplode.

Penal satchel charge deals huge friendly fire damage so no wonder the squad offten dies in progress.

I often abuse this when playing axis faction, I ram the squad with a panzer while they are trying to throw the satchel, resulting into free wipe

aerafield: @LimaOscarMike I would say nowadays is a decent time to try CoH3. If you loved CoH2 however, there is a solid chance you're gonna dislike CoH3

Rosbone: One of my last major gripes about Coh3. Price is still too high I feel for growth. But progress is always good.

Rosbone: I am not 100% sure but I think Relic actually fixed up the skirmish menus a little last patch. If so, thank you and keep it coming.
