Advise good CoH-like RTS game

Hi,

I don't like CoH2 in its current state due to responsiveness and lag issues and i am tired of trying to find a match in CoH1 for a good couple of hours. So while either of those games hopefully gets fixed i am thinking of trying something else. Can anyone advise a good CoH-like RTS game? Not necessarily WW2-themed, just good in the sense of interesting gameplay mechanics, decision making, etc.

I'm playing age of empire 2 hd since coh2 release for the same problems you have.

because we already have about 3 of those just on the frontpage. can't we just have one big "GRRR RELIC, CoH2 sucks and so do you!!" topic, where everyone can whine to heart's content?

I never said it sucks and i am not whining. If i don't have much fun with CoH2 it's my problem and i am sure not going to whine or bash Relic. I just want to play a different RTS and i am asking for advise from people who like the same RTS game that i do. So let's just get back to the topic.

Game became a bit more responsive, yes. It's the unstable performance and really long black screen times before the start of the game that make it not fun for me. But i am sure it will be fixed in the future.

Rosbone: But this last patch has made good progress for grabbing players. All we can hope is Coh3 gets to Coh2s quality level before everyone abandons the franchise. Its Relic so they will completely f*%k it up as usual. But its a hope/cope.
