Maybe I have never paid much attention to the community up until now, but it appears as though as if it is not a very unified group at present. The forums are full of nothing but complaining, opinions are divided as to which faction is OP and in general no one seems satisified or in agreement. There is continual referral back to the vCOH and how it was better (or worse). In addition the state of vCOH itself is pretty woeful. The single and multiplayers both argue that they have got the short end of the stick, be it the storyline or a non existant leaderboard.

So is this just a phase of transition, or is it the new way of things? Can we make the community a more positive experience? Would it help if highly skilled players would voice their opinions on the game more and have a greater presence on the forums (many of them have been quiet as of late)?

The TLDR version of your post seems to be "too many whine threads", yet your post comes off as a whine thread in itself. Positive contributions are enacted by individuals. Don't ask other "skilled players" to give them. Figure out what you can give.

Let's quote JFK, "It's not what your [community] can do for you, it's what you can do for your [community]".

Even what you ask for can be found in the Guides section. And most of what you don't like can be found in the balance forums, which are traditionally full of tons of rubbish. If you don't like sifting through the refuse that's there, just don't go to the latrine.

Yea, 2 many whine posts in forums rly get me down , and the worst thing is inexperienced players and new players to coh complain the most and they dont even know the game but just bomb forums with requests for balance patches and flame relic
Indeed the game is missing some elements (most notably leaderboards and lobbies) but we will get there as relic promised , just ppl are goddamn impatient as f**k

Opps, it wasn't my intention for this to become a whine thread, I wanted to know if things have always been this way in game sequals? Let me rephrase it. Lets all be supportive and positive because!!!.....because......it's better that way.

The vCoH community was all just whines for the last year or 3 when relic just couldnt get the balance right (they got it right for 1 day then a patch was released the next day that fucked it all again) and was 0 communication aswell as maphacking and the likes, most of that community has came here and old habits die hard.
