GCS placement match stats (w/ updates)

Currently the GCS placement matches are underway.

This post will be updated at least daily to sum up the games that took place so far. The replays should be posted in the group specific threads here.

The player highlighted with a green box won the game.

The tables with the players below stick to the same order that A_E used when announcing the groups. It does not reflect the player's rank within their groups!

All percentages are rounded down, btw. Also, the player names are their steam names from the 8th of April, which are not necessarily identical to those in A_E's tables.

Added commanders now, although those are only available for games for which replays have been uploaded.

Whenever possible, we tried to adjust all things that entered scope to Ostheer levels. Of course, we didn't get to touch any OKW stuff, so that's what you get.

@ Siphon, once the placement matches are near-complete (say by mid-week), would it be possible to get info on which OKW commanders were used for the winning matches? e.g., was it pfussy blobs? king tiger? volksblobs?

surely is soon to say, surely there are a lot of factors to take into account...buuuuut, wwooww, looking at those numbers, it seems balance was better in the last live version of the game that the one we have now....

I just hope there's going to be more ostheer (vs any) matches, so that we can actually draw some safe conclusions about the state of balance.

Do you think people will play Ostheer for the sake of playing Ostheer? You'll get no answer about Ostheer in this tournament if OKW is above all other factions.

Yeah from the initial numbers it looks like OKW hard-counters Soviets, but I'm not convinced yet. I just just don't want everyone picking OKW when against Soviets just because some initial numbers looks like that's the way to go. Could just be a coincidence.

I don't suppose we could make this a staff only post? Maybe set it pretty high so it wont influence the results yet?

Keep in mind, soviets were also played by the unfavored (lower ladder ranking) player in 7 out of those 10 games

Soviets and Brits seem absolutely destroyed.
