can we get a arty buff for all factions

can we make 105mm 152mm 203mm howitzers better for there cost and pop cap static unit die to fast most of the time. and dont deal out the same amount of dmg that mobile arty like katy pwerfer stuka does for them to be static maybe they should be better then the mobile arty units

The problem with static arty is just that, it's static. That means it's easy targets for rocket arty, offmap and especially 1 click abilities like the infamous stuka dive bomb. There isn't exactly a whole lot to be done here though. As long as 1 click abilities exist and static arty remains static it will just be countered. I don't see a way of justifying 600 manpower for an LeFH or Pak43 when you can just drop 205mm on it. Same goes for B4 and ML152, easy targets for dive bomb.

agreed shadow. i was thinking make the pop cap on arty significantly less so that when u get off maped ur not poor and about to lose now cuz u invested so much

well they could make a stuka dive bomb only do like 90% of its health so they could do something about offmaps by making static arty and paks more durable, for example a stuka wont 1 shot a brit fortification, while less resources are used to make them.

we've known it since coh2 release.

people deem it okay to counter a 600mp howitzer, which is completely stupid and detrimental to the gameplay.

Arty needs nerfs. Yes including the offmap ones which oneshot buildings.

I used to agree, but once you have seen just how much the British can cancer up a 3v3 or 4v4, you will see that arty nerf is a bad plan.

Probably just Caliope and Land Mattress just need a little balancing (like slight adjustments) and we should be fine.

Personally I had no idea. But strafniki did IMO

I think if they could have some form of damage reduction to at least withstand a dive bomb or mattress that could be alright. It'd work similar to brace but hopefully not as gimmicky.

Howitzer is fine as it is. It is there to counter greedy players who choose a doc very early (like partysans). If you were greedy yourself and build one early on, you also deserve to get it removed as howitzer gameplay is lame and boring and basically killed coh1 teamgames.

But again, you suggest that there is a brace button so dive bomb wouldn't kill arty for 600mp. So it would be a waste of 160ammo. Remember that counters to static arty aren't really cheap.
