I take back what I said earlier; salvaging a destroyed ambulance, everytime it popped up 14 munitions. Using cheatcommands mod, and an ambulance at like 95% health wreck, will yield around 70 munitions (raising the health to max prevents salvaging for some reason).

Not sure how accurate this test is given the mod and the conditions of salvaging an ambulance, but it should be noted that the health of an Ambulance wreck determines how much resources you can salvage.

So while yes, technically you can pull this off and potentially profit, but given that you need an ally willing to churn out ambulances just for some munitions for you to spend, it is not as much as 200 MU as OP claims (which, it should be noted, s/he admits isn't a precise value for certainty).
