Yea, once again mortar is bugged, but this bug is downgrade to it.

Remember bug, that allowed you see units in FoW for like 15 seconds when mortar hit them ? Well relic fixed by its way and now mortar doesnt even show units if you hit them. This is really stupid because you don´t know what you are hiting if youre for example firing to FoW because you think there is HMG.

PS: I dont want to bring it to previous state, just give it same unit detection like other mortar units

As a professional developer, this mortar story really gives me the impression that Relic has an intern writing entirely new code for the USF mortar instead of reusing the code that all the other mortars, even standard projectiles, has.

Such were my suspicions also. I mean, they did let the two previous main guys go, so it is likely.

I think there's another more important bug. Americans got a deadly mortar, they clearly could do without it and now it's hell.

Mine hasn't been firing barrages. It just sits there doing nothing half the time.

The most annoying mortar bug is the smoke barrage that don't fire.

All mortars suffer from this bug.

The UKF Mortar doesn't, it has a different bug, if you use the smoke ability, when the ability has run its course... It keeps firing the smoke and doesn't stop, even when you use the normal barrage ability, smoke just keeps on firing.

LOL, I don't own brits yet, so I don't know.

Mortars have a plethora of bugs on this game. Relic must really hate them

Man, this game and Relic. And they're no only abandoning this game, but high change DoW3 will have this problem too.

I don't have a way to check for sure, but I do believe reveal_defender_time and reveal_defender_time_use in sbps/*/squad_combat_behaviour_ext/ were added in the July 28 hotfix (they modified the game engine again?) Someone more experienced would need to look.

Maybe changing reveal_defender_time to something small like 2 would fix the mortar fow problem while still allowing players to see if they hit any units?
