Light Vehicle Timing Crib Sheet

In my experience, even in relatively high level games one of the most frequent reasons for losing a game is not being prepared for that first light vehicle that hits the fields and kills snipers, tears up infantry e.t.c. With that in mind, I've made a timing 'crib sheet' based on experimenting in custom games and my experience. I have this on a post-it note I can quickly refer to when I'm playing.

These timings are based on the following assumptions (except where exceptions are noted):
Constant control of one fuel point since 1:30 (about the average time on most 1v1 maps)
Subsequent control of about 3 regular strategic points (these give a bit of fuel, and 3 is about half of most maps)
No fuel costs beyond teching

Obviously, if your opponent gets double fuel income for a bit then the light vehicle will come faster, and if you deny them fuel it will come slower. Also, on some maps slightly more points need to be capped before you can connect a fuel point, which naturally delays light vehicles. Finally, as a disclaimer this is all 1v1 based. So, here are the approximate times:

OKW Luchs: 8 mins
Ostheer 222: 5 mins 30 secs
Ostheer Ostruppen 222: as early as 4:30, if T1 is skipped. In my experience, this is a somewhat commons strat against Brits. Skipping T1 saves fuel and calling in a squad immediately lets you cap faster
Brit AEC: 7 mins 30 secs
USF M20: 5 mins
USF Stuart: slightly after 8 mins (going Captain tier first, no LT)
Soviet T70: 11 mins. This is assuming the more expensive T2 opening, which is far more common. T1 saves about 30 secs. This is also assuming AT nades are teched, since this is practically essential

Hope this helps some people

I had a 222 in roughly 4 mins going with the assgren doctrine and an early fuel cache. but that was 2v2 so I guess that doesnt count :foreveralone:

I'm not so sure on that T70 time, seems really high.

Can confirm it costs more fuel to get than other comparable light vehicles.

You forgot the M8- but no one uses that commander so I guess who gives a damn.

Some of these are quite late timings.

Some timings seems wrong? I just had a AEC hit the field at 5:50 with a 50/50 Distribution on road on kharkov, 1v1.
Was suprised because it hit the field at the same time my first 222 Came out feelsbadman
