So, question is here. How to counter 2x snipers in 2v2 as USF+Brits in 2v2, no randumbs.

Pretty much sniper is raping both USF and UKF, counter sniper is totaly depens on ost player skill and map in general, going for anything but stuar is poinless because of 222s, while stuarts hit the field quite late, and sniper already could deal enouth damage.

Right now, this strat feels harly beatable in good ost player hands.

And USF should go for a light vehicle play which makes sniper uneffective. Just keep some "bazooka boys" nearby

It might sound stupid but smoke and flank is a legit tactic to negate snipers in 2v2. If he wants to try pick your riflemen at range always use smoke first before closing in to negate mgs and to block sight of the sniper. That way you can force him back while your rifles charge forward.

It might not necessarily help you kill the sniper but it will negate it while you cap territory, or set up flanks, and can also cover for vehicles dives if you are desperate.

You want to have a heavy focus on vehicle play as usf to lessen mp bleed obviously, going luit+cap and m20 first(stuart is not useless vs 222 btw).

M20 is still quite potent even in 2v2 and 222 obvious answer for it, so your best friend are mines (from M20 or you ally) on your retreat rout. M20-Stuart-M10 spam working fine at open maps and it is fun to play.

Sniper vs sniper is skill vs skill, who will made first mistake will lose.

Vickers with star in building and mortar pit are kinda soft counter for sniper.

It's still viable to go Lt. if you get weapon racks fast for Zooks if you think they will go for 222s or Luches. Fast M20 to hunt down Sniper on first retreat can be a big blow. You can always go Airborne for AT Gun Drop if you need AT Gun and don't want to Tech Captain as well. If you have Heavy Calvary then LT -> Capt. -> Pershing -> Major is doable if you can hold ground until 13 CP. Another option is USF goes Lt. and Brit goes AEC to cover for 222s. Brit should consider early bolster squads as well to survive 2X Sniper volley. Infiltration Commandos are great for surprising Snipers too or Tank Hunter Sections if you need extra 222 help.

Mostly you just can't allow the Axis team to set-up a defensive front because the 2X Sniper will just bleed you and force retreats - helps a lot to force an early breakthrough with light vehicles and your superior number of squads (since a lot of early MP went into 2X Snipers). Be aggressive without taking unnecessary MP bleed.

Because ost player can be awair of your sniper, can scout and so on. Not to mention that brit sniper arrives usually at the same time with 222s, and we all know how this shit is working at finding snipers.

Not to mention, that some maps like Rzhev or Minks, provides a lot of help to german sniper, due to cover and side blocking shiet.

And ofcouse lets not forget, that Brit sniper requares like 2-3 seconds aimnig before shot.

So in general ost sniper have advantage over British sniper in every possible way aside from clocking, thats why counter sniping is mainly depends on how bad\good ost player is.

L2 countersnipe. Your sniper camos in any type of cover, even if it's a small crater on an open road. Get your sniper as close to the enemy as you can while in cover, send ISs to bait enemy sniper, and click the button when he shows his face. Its easier to counter snipe him if he doesn't know you have a sniper so don't reveal him if you don't have to.

Note that he won't have alot of grens to walking around b/c snipers are expensive so you shouldn't have a hard time getting in close. If he has 222 then use ATG which always scales well. Sniper can even spot for it and crit shot the 222. Aggressive mines can sometimes work too.

As double USFs, BARSand smoke or vehicles.

There are 2 types of players in this game. Those who use hotkeys and can therefore micro snipers, and those who don't use hotkeys and hate snipers because they can't use them effectively.

3 different factions have 3 different counters to snipers and you call this dead game and dead meta? Would you rather all 5 factions have snipers to counter snipe with? If it's a dead game why are you on the coh2 forums?

3 factions dont have a counter to OST sniper, only Brits do. Soviet T1 is awful, maxims dont counter sniper. USF has no counter to Sniper but M20 rush which loses to 222 anyway, in an equal skill game LT is suicide and so is Soviet T1. A counter actually beats sniper, even if you kill one it just gets rebuilt because it doesn't bleed you, is hard to kill and has op fire rate.

No, this mindset is bad.

Grab an M20 or an AA halftrack and you'll be able to seriously threaten his sniper. The key is to get weapon racks and get a couple bazookas to deter the 222 from engaging. (Or a bofors to hide behind, but getting in the habit of getting weapons early is better.)

My suggestion would be for both players to get relatively early weapon racks and some AT weapons to hard counter the 222, allowing their light vehicles like m20 or universal carrier to deal a lot of manpower bleed and threaten the sniper. The American AA halftrack is also extremely hard to deal with when used properly before you have a pak so take advantage of that.

Also, anyone building double sniper will have other weaknesses. He won't have as many units to cap on the flanks for example.

Well lets not forget that its not always Ost+Ost it could be Ost+OKW and OKW can pretty much cover Ost sniper weaknesses, by inf and raketen\schrecks. Since Brits usually cant provide a lot of inf support early on because of how excepnsive and vinerable to snipers tommy are, USF guy will be pretty much alone untill mortar pit.
