It delivers absolutely no damage, it is beyond pathetic.
I just had a game where a full barrage on an enemy blob only killed a single model of infantry.

I guess this is why I haven't seen any in a game.

I believe the Greyhound wins the award for most useless unit, but this is a close second.

Okay you win, the 250 is the most useless.

For the price I would rather have a WC-51 or a USF M3 than a greyhound though.

Same story with the WC-51.

WC-51 actually has a legit gameplay purpose where you can rush 2 of them to push the opponent of the map and then trade them in for more infantry while your opponent over-invests in early AT.

At least, ZiS can reinforce. Also the name of SdKfz 250 ingame make me sad (just 250 Halftruck)

It would actually be very useful if it gained the ability to reinforce troops on the field.

Greyhound's fighting capabilities might be bad but its still great recon unit with sight bonuses same as t70 observer mode at vet2/3 while greyhound dont have to go to observer mode so it shoot all the time while providing sight for 3/4 of the map. Combine vet 3 greyhound with jacksons and u got ultimate anti tank power on the field with unlimited sight.

None of these units cost 90 fuel and 400 MP.

M42 is fine. It's just 200mp and counters light vehicles just fine.

Doesn't 250 allow you to snipercar like the old Soviets? Still not a good unit, but not quite the horrific waste of resources represented by greyhound or Sexton

No, you can't use snipers in it.

It's like an M3 scoutcar without turrets, that's it. I think it might have a bit more armor than an M3, But it costs 40 fuel....

M20 got exactly same sight bonuses, cost half as much fuel, is easier to vet up, puts down mines and arrives earlier.

Why greyhound again?

Anyway, I had a dream.
In that dream the PERFECT faction was born.

Relic emergency force:

Main infantry:
Penals.
AT inf squad:
PTRS cons, but PTRS are too damn good to be a stock weapon, so lets put it doctrinally only in shitty one dimensional no-late game doc.

HMG: MG34
AT gun: M-42
Early game indirect fire: Fighting position rifle nade(lets say CEs use them, RETs scale way to good to be here)

Light vehicles:
Greyhound
WC51
250
And non up gradable USF M3.

Medium armor:
Well, T34/76 obviously!
And for AI I'll go with Brummbar.

Heavy tank:
KV-2

Indirect fire:
Sexton, there was no alternative here.

Now tell me, who wouldn't want to play with that faction?

You can see some light when and if you manage to vet it up. It get's increased range and the recharge on the barrage is good. Problem is you won't vet it unless it's a huge stalemate/slugfest against OKW with their buildings forward enough for the Sexton to reach.
