their target size needs to be increased. Even the American rifleman have trouble killing a sniper on retreat.
If the snipers' HP are to remain at 82 hp, then their target size should be increased to make them more vulnerable to small arms.

Snipers are fine, have you seen what happens to them when a squad with bars/M191 looks at them? They get vaporized, even at long range.
If you increase their squad size they will become useless in mid/late game when weapon upgrades start getting used.
Yeah they might be annoying in the early game when rifles can't easily kill them but that's why you have M20/UC/M3/222/Kubel etc.

The pretty often retreat through 2 squads unscratched, at least wehr sniper famous for that
But mostly they are fine, sniper hell maps like crossing in 2v2s is problem, not the unit.

I've seen Ostheer snipers pull off some serious James Bond / Rambo things where they seem to never get hit.
Have not yet seen it with the Brit sniper, but then again, the Brits have not been out that long.

I find it strange that the Soviet team is a little more fragile, but I suppose it works.

I often get sniped by paks and pumas when using a Brit sniper. Along with shreks. I thought they had like super low accuracy so the couple times that it happened to me were always a surprise.

If your sniper was hugging green cover and the atg shot came from the point not covered by the green cover, it actually happens alot since the shot hits the green cover and splash damages your sniper.
I managed to kill an ally's sniper team this way...

Today, I saw OST sniper, rushed with Bren through the bushes and found him perfectly in front of bren at point blank. First salvo took like 1/8hp, he retreated, I chased him for like 1/4 of the map - survived :|

Yeah, sniper counters (M20, 222, Bren, Kubel, Soviet Scout Car) need to be made merciless.

I completely agree, there should be no get out of jail card for snipers. If they are being hit on the retreat then a wipe should be very likely.

Those Wehr snipers can dodge roulette shots straight to the head.
All posts made are about situations in 2v2's. Not a 1v1 player.
