Brits need a heavy tank

Late game brits need a doctrinal heavy tank to contest the heavy jagdtiger+elefant tanks. With no way to cripple tracks/stun besides sniper vet 1 or AEC vet 1, theirs not a whole lot you can do against it.

Any tips on how to counter these behemoths, doctrinal tank hunters seem to be the best bet to slow them down!

Cheers

You can use the Comet/Cromwell smoke shot to blind the tank, then use Tulips, or overwhelm it with Cromwells or Comets. (never tried it, but it seems like it might work)

I don't think the Brits need a heavy assault tank like the IS-2, they already have the best array of stock tanks in the game IMO

Brits didnt had heavies but only churchill types, and most of their TD's were USA styled, weak armor, big guns

i have a better idea:

naaahhh, smoke and blitz is quite better than brace.....no one would choose brace instead of smoke and blitz.

oh well, then waiting for USF nukes....they had them, you know....

oh well, then waiting for a piece of code that don´t allow russians fight in france maps...

oh well, then waiting for USF getting six Shermans for the same fuel that an OST player gets a Tiger....

Churchills need tank shock back. But this time it acts like an aggro ability, that attracts enemy fire for a duration, so ur poor fireflies and at guns wont get hurt. :snfCHVGame:

The British did not contest German heavy vehicles using their own heavy vehicles; British heavy vehicles were designed to support infantry.
17 pounder weapons by way of tanks or tank destroyers, artillery, and air strikes were the usual method.
The British had ways to defeat German heavy armour, but it was never done through a tank. The ones that came in vehicles couldn't take a hit from these monsters.

In any case, you'd have to make up something to do what you want, like put in Abrams or nuclear-powered, depleted-uranium Battlemasters.

The fact that they can build unlimited versions of slightly weaker Tigers that aren't locked behind a commander is already kind of ridiculous imo.

It's like if you made Easy Eights stock and buildable without a commander.

the churchill is a good deal weaker than the tiger. The 75mm is decent but nowhere near the firepower possessed by the 88mm.

They should be allowed to build comets, after unlocking with a side tech.

Right, it's ridiculous that one out of three allied factions has a non-doctrinal tank that can stand up to non-doctrinal panthers. Allies should be forced into doctrinal tanks every time in team games! It's already true for soviets and americans; brits should also have weak-ass nondoctrinal lategame. This will improve team games by a mile.
