Been playing since game release seen many attempts to perform game balance. So, I think its fair to ask.

Your question is flawed. No game ever reaches perfect balance, and the community will always consider it unbalanced no matter how balanced it actually gets. It's actually been extremely good lately, especially considering the amount of diversity in the game.

Your statement is seriously flawed because its an opinion not a fact. So take it to the polls as I did.

I can't imagine balancing 5 asymetrical is easy. I think relic is doing an excellent job.

+1 Asymetric games are by definition unbalanced especially when you take into account the opinions of all players who play it.

People to take a poll to get the reality of how the community thinks.

Didn't Relic say that if you don't like the balance of the game you can just go away and make your own mod? #DIY #companyofmodders

If they really said that, Are they admitting their incompetence of making a balance game?

Brad said it in the last stream. Which is odd, as he also said they made the abandoned vehicle change because the community asked for it (but they don't do anything about blobbing despite there being a huge list of forum posts about it).

It seems if people don't like Relic's version of 'balance' they should just make their own. Or ask Relic to and hope that they implement some of the things the community ask for.

If people don't like Relic's version of the 'balance' how is it the CoH2 communities fault? I thought Relic was in business to make the business expert decisions to make a good product. Also, its obvious to the community that Relic's version of 'balance' in reality is not adequate.

The whole discussion whether the poll is flawed or not is pointless, lelic will never have the game balanced as we see how they patch their game: so many forgotten units and abilities and picky patches. Coh2 will always be a clusterfuck unless they invite several high-tier players and release a überpatch in which every unit and ability is carefully looked at.

I couldn't agree more. I'm sure things will slowly get better, as they have been over the last few years. But it's a very slow process, often with one step forwards and two step backwards.

Perhaps just like coh1 it will be five years or more before the state of balance is at a good place.

It's been balanced before (the patch right before WFA dropped a steaming turd on it). It can be balanced again, it will just be harder this time with more factions.

Either way the actual mechanics of the game have improved considerably over time.

Willy Pete: @Rosbone Ahh I missed that memo. I still think its a bad decision though. Adds frustration for players and isnt gonna make them that much money
27 Mar 2025, 15:46 PM
Rosbone: It is also good they left it free until after the free to play weekend. Points for that.
27 Mar 2025, 09:34 AM
Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
27 Mar 2025, 09:32 AM
Rosbone: To be fair, it was a thank you to early fans right? They said it was not free for long and it would become a pay DLC at some point.

Willy Pete: Re-releasing free DLC so they can charge new players money for it. Brilliant marketing strategy

20 Mar 2025, 13:11 PM
Nickbn: @Rosbone it's incredibly rude to speak on someone elses behalf, especially when a question is directly adressed to them. I understand your passion for the subject at hand but I want to hear from him.
20 Mar 2025, 10:16 AM
Rosbone: @Nickbn No, I am just saying people should not be using any Relic owned forum since they have proven they ban anyone who says true things about Coh3.
