Crawling wounded setting off mines.

Yesterday I had a crawling wounded soldier set of the mine my sturmpioneers just built, killing the entire squad. Can we have these kind of 'dead' entities not set off mines? It's just terrible design and gameplay, regardless of the possible counterplays.

I learned it the hard way back in the first year.

Just shoot crawlers.

you should kill crawlers anyway, i think they give vision (alteast sometimes they do if bug or not idk) and thus revealing you are planting a mine anyway

Or maybe it's just bad design? Having to shoot every single crawler to prevent bullshit RNG happening to you is a tedious and almost pointless APM sink. There is nothing about crawlers setting off mines that makes this game any better in any manner whatsoever. So yes, it is terrible design. The creation of crawlers also seems to be pretty random.

Implying that you actually play(ed) the game? Now I know you're lying.

we have bugged vet, a problem with light vehicle meta, maxims being hella strong and you think something that happens one in a thousand games is important and bad design.

Now you're saying something else. Something not happening often doesn't change anything about it being good design or not.

If only I got a cent for each comment like this, I wouldn't have to work. :snfBarton:

Feel free to ask Zarok about me playing or my skill if you aren't sunk too deeply in your delusions.

I don't know who that is, but I'm afraid you misunderstand. It was meant as a silly tease, not a personal attack. My bad.

It's a bit weird the first time, but the answer to avoid it is pretty simple and actually logical (shoot em' first) that I don't see a problem with it.

I agree with OP. But I agree with others as well. It's annoying when it happens, but yet it hardly happens. Does give a frustrating yet "depth" to the game. It happens a lot when you have two mines close to each other. One sets off and kills the squad/members, they crawl into the other mines..

Just kill the crawlers. It will become a habit soon enough and you won't even think about it.

So much war crime

Just as intended, displaying the dehumanization caused by the perceived necessities of war's brutality
