WORDS OF WARNING FOR RELIC;

Ostheer/OKW have the biggest playerbase within the community. Remember that time when OKW went under the major overhaul, everyone came back and almost everyone was exclusively playing as OKW.

OST, the most popular faction of all, is utterly hopeless and, not surprisingly, the playerbase is shrinking too fast due to the massive balance issues and useless units/abilities plaguing the game.

USF is the third popular faction and thank god they released some DLCs to keep it remotely competitive, we will have to wait and see the callie nerfs though.

The SU is incredibly boring now, you are either forced to go with op DOCs or just troll around with stock units.

The brits seem to be unpopular overall, due to overnerfed late game and some iconic units (cmmandos, Churrhills.)

This has always existed since vCoH
Yes but it wasn't as widespread as it is now. Even new players who have just installed the game send their first unit to cap the building covering your cutofffu, reserving it for their Mg42/Maxim/Vickers/Sturms/Tommies.

Bullshit.

OKW is popular because it's fucking easy. What's more to think? Volks for AT, Call in/Ober for AI, wait until a super tank comes out.

Ostheer is 2nd because OKW gets boring too fast and you have no diversity. But what else can you choose from?

USF is always popular because it's easy win in 1v1 and 2v2. Their early game power is too strong and easily snowball into easy win.

Soviet is boring yes. Or utterly OP commander that has everything.

UKF is not as popular because it's a turtle faction and even harder than Ostheer to play well.

No.

OST is popular because it rewards patience and strategy. It is also one of the classic factions.

OKW is popular because it has some unique features and the faction has a stylish, elite characther.

USF is popular because it rewards microing multiple type of units at the same time, trying to make ends meet with simple basic stuff. It is also one of the classic factions.

SU is pretty much fucked anyhow.

UKF is unpopular due to overnerfed late game and generally confusing design

Uh, the classic factions for CoH2 are Soviets and Ostheer. You also realize that USF and vCoH Americans are nothing alike in terms of gameplay and design, right?

Although I have to say, matches between only the vanilla factions are actually still pretty fun.
