What Happened to Soviet Industry?

I stopped playing CoH2 a while ago but no I'm playing it again and I noticed they changed the Soviet Industry commander. Instead of the Soviet Industry ability they have the fuel drop which costs 100 munitions, is easily shot down and for me always comes over the enemy lines first and only drops like 70 fuel. I don't feel like it is the Soviet Industry. I feel like it is an expensive munitions-fuel trade off with a KV-2 and a KV-8. You can't mass produce tanks like the Soviet Industry name implies.

I agree. It's not really Soviet industry anymore. BUT it is being used right now. So I think it has been a good change although it's not really Soviet Industry anymore.

I assume people use it for KV-8 or KV-2 and a little extra fuel?

- OKW have AA guns for free in their base. So it's a bad commander vs OKW
- The ability is that you get a cargo plane flying to your HQ *FROM* the enemy's HQ.
- It gives 30 fuel for 100 muni.
- I find it's quite a good ability. As it makes your T34s cost 50 Fuel instead of 80 fuel.
3 Basically you get 3x T34s per Pz4... great tradeoff. 4x T34s per Panther !!!

- The old + fuel - Manpower was horrible. T34s used to cost around 240 manpower 100 fuel.
Then it was fine. Now they cost 300 manpower, 80 fuel. So this is actually a better tradeoff.

- Self repair and REPAIR BAYS is what I actually love this commander for. You make 2-3 of these,
then you can explode your own engineer and have 100% tank pop. Which comes to around
4x SU76, 1x70, 5x T34/76... 0 infantry. And these can capture flags, self-repair, etc, with ease.

Also, the fuel ability is the exact same as Lend Lease.
Look up lend lease. Same issues. If people use it still... there
has to be a reason ;)

: BTW : I use 3x T34/76 bonus bulletins ;)

Plus, dont forget, Industry always floated muni like crazy. Id rather lose muni than manpower.

Hello.

As said the doctrine effectively dump your excessive munition (as you has almost nothing to spend them) into mighty fuel.
KV8 is KV8 still a very good unit able to clean a lot of dirty places (understand ATguns and garnisons).
It is also to be said that the KV2 recently rcieved a small buff. I like this tank.

Kozo.

The KV2 is a giant howitzer with a giant HP pool. It has an ability to increase its fire rate to that of a mortar. 'nuff said.

repair stations for muni only are what this commander is all about, the old version was bad, it was actually the only commander that made your situation worse after picking instead of better.

Back when you could get out multiple KV2 it was always good for a laugh

{edit}

or rush 5 t70

or 3 katy

or 6 t34

Basically it was most fun in 4v4 for me when I could slack off a bit in order to support/massively flank. And no teammate doesn't like having a repair station in his backfield.

In the end though I have to say that I love this commander. A vet 2 KV-2 is a god among ants if you play it right.
