OKW, the only faction with constant cloak

I really think that this is unfair and also gives a very strong faction a lot more power.
Rakettens and JP (and maybe also other units, not sure) can always be cloaked, even in red cover.
I believe that Relic should bring OKWs cloak in line with the other factions. And no, its not about asymmetrical balance, it has to do with the new way cloak works (and should work for all factions) in COH2.

Let the "conversation" begin :D

If relic does that .... how long will it take before there are threads about how op luchs, jp4 and raketenwerfer are because now they automaticaly cloak and have no movement-penalty?

JP4 camo is an issue cause you even can't hit it with ground attack of maybe they already fixed it? I don't recall any fix about it..

Raketenwerfer cloak should atleast be vet 1. its bad enough going vehicle offensive with volks running around. but rushing in and finding out they hiding to ambush u is gamebreaking.

If its not an issue, why not bring it line with the other factions. I would say that changing it is not an issue!

Because fixing what isn't broken isn't the answer and neither is generalization?

JP4 is broken, puppchen is fine.

Having out-of-combat persistent cloak for those units is fine; it gives the game a bit of flavour.

However, in the way this is implemented, stealth is completely broken in this game:
- You can abuse stealth so that your JP4 is CONSTANTLY stealthed (even while firing)
- It even causes some phasing issues, where you can't hit stealthed units with attack round.

Here's a video that elchino created about it a long time ago:

(watch at the 1:05 mark about how to properly "use" JP4 camo)

JP4 camo is an issue cause you even can't hit it with ground attack of maybe they already fixed it? I don't recall any fix about it..

I'm 99% sure that the predator phasing bug hasn't been fixed, yet. Last night I used the cloak to dodge some Tulip rockets (and kill off the 2 fireflies that fired them on me).

I will concede that at vet0, the Raketenwerfer is rather situational (slow speed, reduced range etc). However, to those of you complaining that the Raketenwerfer sucks, have you actually checked its veterancy?
- At vet1 there is no movement penalty to cloak
- At vet4, it can even outrun infantry

I would like to know how you guys manage to counter AECs/Calliopes without Raketens (no, mines don't count)

More importantly: Does the OKW Raketen cloak have the same advantages as the OKW Phase Shift cloak?

Permanently Banned
Hard to say about raketen (but camo dont must work in red cover), coz not big range (but good penetretion for this unit). But JP vet1 camo need nerf 100 %. Why OKW units have so power vet, obers supress and have sprint really OpieOP tahy just run into all infatry with vet.

I think that while JP4 and Pakken cloak should not be so 'user friendly' (read between the lines) they are a minor issue.

Shrekblobs into panther meta must be changed and I would LOVE to see more JP4 s on the field just for a change in gameplay.

Just for the interest of everyone who didn't play vCoH:
The Wehrmacht's PaK had 3(!) camo shots a few patches ago before it revealed itself. Good old times.

raketen has less range and its a light rocket AT Gun. Also raketens arent an issue. JP4 dodge camo is though.
