Hi all!
Can someone pls tell me the relationship between squad health bar and losing models? The less health I have the quicker models die or does 1 model die per x amount of health bar? How important is it to heal squads over simply reinforcing them? Cheers

Hi!
Im not an expert on the Subject but its something like every model in your squad has a health Pool (its 80 hp for grens i believe).
The health bar is the total amount of health points in your squad, so it's possible to have every model on 40hp resulting in a half filled health bar but all 4 models alive. But to be safe wait for some Experts to explain it properly

In addition to Bananenheld's comment, I highly recommend to heal up your squads, as certain units and weapons (e.g. Pathfinders) has a chance to snipe (instant kill) models that have less than a given model health. In other terms, it's easier for the enemy to wipe your squads, or force you to retreat.

It is extremely importation against AOE weapons as explosives. A half health squad will be wiped very easily to an explosion...

As Bananenheld said.

But not just grens, all models have 80 HP. Survivability depends on other stats like received accuracy, target size and armor.

Ostheer and British Snipers have 82 health.

Healing is important and more cost-efficient than reinforcing.

Its all RNG.

You can have 6 models with 8hp left each and you can drop a model the moment you lose first 80hp.

There is no such thing in coh2, unless you mean JLI or airborne pathfinders, in which case it still applies exclusively on model basis, where model needs to be below certain health to get the crit.

Hello.

-Every infantery model in the game have 80HP (with the exception of snipers)
-The HP of a squad is the total of every model's HP.
-Each model manage his HP independantly a model do not die each time 80HP are missing from a squad.
-You may possibly have a squad with 10 HP left consisting of 4 models with 4,2,1,3 HP respectively.
-UKF and OST snipers have 82 HP which help them to survive direct hits from mortars that deals 80 dammages. SOV snipers have 48 hp each.
-Model's defense is made of AccuracyRecieved (which reduce the precision of the ennemy to them) and Armor (only for shocktroopers, making them ignore 33% of normal rifle shots)

I think some unit types are more prone to losing models quicker than other type of units. But that is just based on my feelings
